~exercising my soul ~

just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out; if anybody knows of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I don't want to do just for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but I will not show it. ~unknown~

What a wonderful exercise. We all pay so much attention to our bodies, but our soul needs just as much exercising to stay healthy and strong. And pushups are nothing compared to not letting someone see your feelings are hurt. It takes practice for that one! Have a lovely day and I hope you are the recipient of lots of good deeds as well as the anonymous giver. xoxo

If everybody did this, even one day a month, think how much better the world could be. Have a good "exercise" day!

Ahhh...what muscular giants we would be if we worked out our souls like this daily....and I send YOU blessings my dearest so that your BACK may be strong again! I know the pain, OH, do I know the pain!!!! Sometimes I just can't get comfortable in a chair....for me and my hip thing, I am better off walking quickly as I normally do, but sitting too long does me in.

Oh how I wish you well today! Back later to check in...Anita

I think doing someone a good turn without being found out is the best!! Your blessing is then in heaven which is far greater than the blessing you receive on earth from someone thanking you.

I have been doing things that I don't want to lately, just to force myself to be more disciplined. I know it sounds silly or like no big deal, but one of the things I have been working on is sticktoitiveness. For instance, when I am am working on a sewing project, I want to give up when things get too complicated. But, I have been making myself stick with it and complete it, no matter the mistakes or the final outcome. I am trying to train myself to finish what I have started in all aspects of my life. Funny, how your posts always ring a bell with me.
Love your little flower bundle. Hope you have a very nice day, my friend!

That's awesome Koralee!! Very good words to live by and "exercise". Which by the way I was thinking you were going to reference the jumping around kind at which point I was going to feel guilty that I've been melting my brain on Twitter and FB instead of melting fat on the treadmill. :)

Thanks for not making me feel guilty!! LOL!

I always let others know when they have hurt my feelings. I think they should know... of course my skin is a little bit thicker than it was in my youth... good thing too since I cried at the drop of a hat back then.

Oh, I must exercise my soul as well, my friend!
Such pretty flowers ! Bluebells? Thank you for a glimpse of springtime! Today was a dreary and depressing day for me! It was gray and rainy all day. I've been finishing up report cards. Tomorrow we have parent conferences. I always seem to dread them, but when they're over I'm always surprised at how well they go! Your beautiful photos always seem to cheer me.
I do hope you will find some relief from your back pain.
Wishing you many blessings!

Hi Koralee,
How are you?
Looking at those pretty bluebells makes me wish even more for spring.
{I'm not sure of their real name, but bluebells sounds lovely ;o)

Your quote is perfect for everyday real life.
So many times, "not saying" what we feel is a great discipline...
But here at Bluebird Notes, kindness and loveliness is easily found and shared.
Take care dear ♥ wishing you wellness and comfort,
~Maria

Good morning sweet one; any relief for your back yet? I woke up with a sore HEEL NOW...I was just telling Rosie how I finally know how this happened to my back. I caught myself falling about a month ago and I must have jammed my muscle or nerves from the heel on up, for that entire area is PAINFUL....oh dear, we are a bunch, aren't we? BUT WE KEEP ON PLOWING THROUGH!!!! I wish you rest, peace and joy my dearest...Anita
