back in time.....

this is an original art/photo that i have hanging in our bedroom
it's of my great grandma...Maria...who died shortly after it was taken...
i look at her face every morning and evening and find such peace and comfort in it...
when i was younger this exact photo hung in my grandma's bedroom...
i thought it was of an angel ....i still do...
i can see my mom's face in hers....my mom's name is Marie....
my grandma's middle name....my middle name and my middle daughter's middle name are all Marie...
this is where i find my inspiration today...in my great grandma...
i was looking through Cabbages and Roses shop...
these romantic fashions remind me of my great grandma's era
{maybe not exactly the right period but somewhat of the day's gone by}
i love them all....

they match nicely with Cabbages and Roses home selection....
{i am loving gray/black more and more}

i also adore this outfit...

which goes with this...

and this...

Enjoy...

LOVE the interiors!! Country chic is so nostalgic for me! My mom is a Tasha Tudor fan!, and it's implanted in my brain too now :)
Ur great grandma is so pretty! I have paintings of my great grandma and grandpa on the will in my house, and I always felt they were magical--like seeing urself in another world...

We heard you couldn't make it to the farm chicks show, sorry about that, but you could come to ours The Funky Junk Sisters Show in Puyallup, WA.(near Tacoma). We will have wonderful vendors there too. Stop by our blog to check it out.

Thank you for the visit in my blog. Now it's my turn!

I love old photos, especially if there are important people for me.
Your Grandma looks so calm and beautiful. I'm not surprised that you look her pictures every morning.

Grey, white and black - Look so good in interior.
Red and white - So fresh!

Have a nice evening!

I'm going to Anna Maria Island tomorrow for our annual family reunion. I have so much to do. A friend is staying here with the 3 cats and 1 large perfect golden. But-what am I doing? I just discovered your blog. I'm on March 2nd. I have to stop! I will return next week to read more.
I also have 3 beautiful girls-16,20,27. None married yet. I can't imagine the fun. I just hope they don't have weddings to close together.
Have a great weekend! We have so much in common. Could get in alot of trouble together!

I'm loving all the rooms you showed...especially the grays and creams with a touch of black...so classic. Your banner looks great!

Just had to comment...my grandmother is my muse..she is forever inspiring me. I know she laughs at my artwork about her.
I LOVE that outfit too and oh that tablecloth, I want it! It would go in my red kitchen! Enjoy your day!
