~ ooh la la pies ~

"a pie to die for"
our family waits all year for these ooh la la pies
{a name i made up}
they are heavenly
only coming out during berry season
this one was piled high with fresh strawberries and raspberries
a bit of custard on the bottom
{yummy creamy vanilla bean custard}
only to be found at Krause Farms
we get all our
strawberries
raspberries
blueberries
there
so off we went Saturday
the whole berry picking family
strawberries were slim pic kins this year
{we arrived much too late}
small and not too many to be found
but did we care?
NO
all we really came for were the ooh la la pies
we were a little panicky at first
thinking the pies would be sold out
so my husband ran to check
phew....still a few
lucky us
we all did the happy dance
and
off we went home
our happy berry picking family with our prized pie
{had to find more strawberries elsewhere for my jam}

i wish i could say
we ate our pie on our outdoor veranda
{dream}
which was filled with lovely soft pillows
{inspire}
and that lovely girl in the image is me
running to open our gate for you all to come in
and enjoy a piece of ooh la la pie with us
{wish}
{i really would love you all to taste this pie and meet my family}
{maybe someday}
truth is....
us berry pickers did enjoy the ooh la la pie at my humble kitchen table
table setting...pillows...me running {let a girl dream}... from cabbages and roses

Darn typos, meant to say whatever your mind can conceive and believe, you can achieve!

Love those strawberries. They are so in season aren't they. Just the word "Pie" is so wonderful don't you think?

The only time I went berry picking, I had so much fun. I can only imagine how fun it would be to get to eat a pie piled high with berries upon completion!
And that veranda is DREAMY!
