a wee little mouse told me
"IT'S APPLE WEEKEND"
{image from Martha Stewart Kids...Fall 2004}

apples are picked
so...

I will be eating...

sliced apples & cheddar cheese
apple pandowdy
baked apples and cinnamon

apple fritters
applesauce
apple cake

{well... maybe not all of these}

Tart
Juicy
Sweet
&
Crisp

remember

apples that remain on the trees after the harvest
should be left for the elves
{do you believe?}

Darling elves around Rose Tea Cottage simply don't get any!!! I am a big apple eater, which reminds me it's time for my midnight snack...you guess it - an apple. Darling, have a lovely weekend, enjoy the apples.

Beautiful...all accept the mouse. I am petrified of even the tiniest mouse. I know it is silly, but ooooh...they creep me out.

I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fruit eater, but I do love apples. Some of my favorite childhood memories are apple picking in New Jersey and Ontario. :)

Yum! I found a great recipe for baked apples from Cooking with Clara, the 94-year old grandma who posts her recipes on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JziRQDdyjk

I definitely suggest checking out for the vintage cool and the pure sweetness :-)
