~A Few Bluebird Notes ~

Simple Pleasures
What's on your top 10 list?
oven fresh bread
an autumn walk in the leaves
a weekend away with friends
coming home to find dinner on the table
.....the list will be different for everyone
but I pretty much bet everyone finds pleasure in receiving
an unexpected letter in the mail.
Once upon a time handwritten correspondence was the
only way to hear from family and friends.
I feel sad for the daughter's of today who have not had
the thrill of having a handwritten letter
{on beautiful paper}
waiting for them in the mailbox.

I have decided it is time to bring back some Joy...
To reach out in a timeless, classic and personal way
So
for those of you that played along with me in a previous post
Your notes are in the mail!
{as you can see from the stack of envelopes above I had many responses}
{I have two lovely bloggers who did not get back to me with their addresses
so if you are one of them please email me...one friend I am still trying to connect with}
So start sending out some snail mail love
The Joy I got from taking the time was unbelievable!
{The Perfect Note...by Kerry Colburn...is a wonderful book full of amazing letter writing ideas}

*****

A great big hug goes out to Jermaine
for presenting me with
the Kreative Blogger Award
please visit her lovely blog

...the rules say I have to tell you 7 things about myself..
yawn yawn
so without repeating myself over and over
visit here or here to learn more about me
{only if you please}

Koralee,
I am so looking forward to my little note from you..I will treasure it. I have special boxes of letters and notes from all my dear friends that date back to grade school, letters that my grandparents sent to me while I was studying in Paris, all the letters my husband sent me when we first met 23 years ago... etc etc..it is wonderful to look at them and see that each and everyone of the people who sent them have touched my life over the years. I think this is a wonderful thing you are doing :)

My girls are both overseas and I love writing letters and cards to them and they love getting them. I buy special writing paper (always have) or I make my own cards and envelopes. That is even more fun.
