{feeling connected}

girl talk
***
Oh, the comfort
~ the inexpressible comfort of feeling
safe with a person~
having neither to weigh thoughts
nor measure words,
but
pouring them all right out,
just as they are,
chaff & grain together;
certain that a faithful hand
will take & sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
&
then with the breath of kindness,
blow the rest
away
{d.m. Mulock Craik..1866}
{vintage telephones...country living 2008}
my wish
is for you all have a sweet dear friend you can talk to
***
Thank you my sweet friends
your kind comments and lovely thoughts
always mean so so much to me
&
Thank you sweet followers
I so appreciate each one of you

Thank you, Koralee! I feel honored to be 500...it makes my age seem so much your younger.lol I'm happy to be here, lots of aqua, sugar and birds.... What's not to love! I'm an ex chocolatier, so I love candy and cake photos.

Thank you for your condolences, very thoughtful and appreciated.

Here's to another 500!!

Kindest regards,
Lynea

Nothing is sweeter than a cherished, safe, faithful, laugh until you cry, stand by you through everything kind of friend. I am so glad I know what that is like in my best friend. Thanks for reminding me to remind her of that very thing!

I remember growing up with only one house phone. Cords were short too. They would get stretched to the max :D

I talk with my sister every day. It seems weird when we miss a day ~ She's my best girl friend. I just love her!

Julie Harward wrote a great commentary on "blogging sisters." It's in her sidebar~ and it's just the way I feel about all the wonderful people I've met out here~

With the internet I often find myself communicating via email, Facebook, etc. This post is a great reminder that the telephone still does exist (for other than texting) and I need to do it more often =)

WOW, Koralee. Over 500 followers. That's going some !!
Do you know, I don't like to admit it but, before texting and emails, I was on the phone to my friend for 8 hours !! I think that we could have probably gone into the Guinness Book of Records !! XXXX

Friendship… is not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.

When I taught school 5 years ago we had aphone like that is our classroom & I always smile thing of one of my students who could not figure out how to hang it up after she talked to her mom. (2nd grader) I am sure she could have managed a cell phone fine :) She never did figure it out :) But it was fun watching her try :)

Koralee! I just got girlfriends that I could really *talk* with. Not ones that I made my life sound all put together, the ones I can get real with. It was an answer to prayer .... and He blessed me with SEVEN other women that I can talk with. SEVEN at one time!!!

Hugs my friend - what a sweet post {as always!}
