{a key lesson}

lesson never " learnt"
every year I am so excited
when the
Valentine's candy
hits the store shelves
*
early January I am
eagerly filling my candy dishes
with
red
white
and
pink
*
but
the
sweets
never
ever
last
until
February 14th
{this jar was full 4 days ago}
a key lesson so never " learnt"
{will I be filling my candy dishes with Easter treats soon?...you bet I will !}

Isn't is funny how that works? I think the stores need to stop putting things out so darn early. I'm telling you! December 26th is the start of Valentines Day! Take care, and don't feel too guilty for eating them before Feb. 14- remember its not your fault they've already been out in the stores for weeks ;-)

You know what I love....is that you actually have those jars in your house! And you and your girlies must always feel as if you live in a beautiful candy store! The best!

Just arrived in Georgia....67 degrees, sunny and enjoying watching every moment of my little crumb being spoiled by her grandparents!

HI KORALEE,
OH!! I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I TOO BUY VALENTINE CANDY, AND FILL ALL THE PRETTY CANDY DISHES, BY THE TIME I FILL THE LAST DISH, THE FIRST ONE IS EMPTY. OH MY, EASTER, PEANUT BUTTER EGGS, HERE WE GO AGAIN. YOUR VALENTINE DISH IS VERY PRETTY. TAKE CARE, RIZZI

Bonjour Koralee,
Love those pretty jars, and that glittery key! Go ahead, it will only make you sweeter -at least that's the excuse I always use!

So beautiful. I try to avoid the candy till it goes on sale. Then I don't feel as guilty! ;)

Hi Koralee,
You are lucky it lasted four days! In our house, there seems to be able four little candy thieves who just wait for Valentine's candy to come out. I know this as two of them had very suspiciously vibrant red lips just today!
Kate
PS- adore the little glittered key! So sweet!!!

I love your jars, they looks so cheery, and yummy always.I dont have that problem with those candies but the chocolate eggs at easter time I do,Im glad the girls are grown and I dont have to fill baskets ha.As far as the key goes its so sweet for a touch to the jars themselves.Im like Julie though, I would have to lock it up if they were full of chocolate easter eggs.

Have a nice Thursday!

Time to go to the store again. I don't think you will make it till the big V-day. Great picture. Love the key idea. You are so creative, I just love stopping by here to see what you are up to.

I'm going to try and add you button to my scroller. I just ventured into this arena and created one for THE GARDEN BELL. Hope it will work for you and makes your standard.

I'm the opposite. I always wait until the month of the holiday before I start buying the candy. I love it, but, like a pumpkin spice frapp at Starbucks, it's better to me when I can fully experience the holiday :) I wait until September, religiously, before sipping a pumpkin spice! I know...I'm strange like that.
