* sigh*
pause
reflect
ponder
remember

loving memories

faded threads
so
sweetly stitched

a cherished pillowcase

embroidered
for me
when I was a wee child
{I still use it today..even though many many stitches are missing}
my dreams are oh so sweet

You say so much with so few words. I think one of the things that draws us all to your blog is the fact we can so relate in some way to your words.

Sleep tight!

Oh how very lovely. I wish my grandmother did things like this, im afraid she was too busy working, cleaning and cooking to do anything crafty. Hopefully its something you can pass onto your kiddies, missing stitches only show its been loved.

How beautiful, Koralee! The colors are amazingly bright too!
My mother and grandmother did stitchery of various kinds and my sister and I both do cross stitch and needlepoint. I have a wonderful antique side chair my mother covered in a needlepointed rams head. It's striking. She also did the world's ugliest afghan. Not kidding. When she passed away, I was the only one who wanted it! And I have some charming chalk drawings on my walls from one grandmother and a framed crochet piece that I love done by my other grandmother.
Please tell me love of needlework is not disappearing!

Don't you just love the stuff grammy made. It brings back such wonderfully sweet childhood memories. Cherish them always.

Thanks for becoming the 101 follower over in my garden. I see we have quite a few of the same buddies. I don't know if you follow Luc over in the Attic 24, but she is my muse for blogging. Her colors will make you feel good at a moments notice. She just had a baby about two weeks ago at 40ish, so she is not posting everyday, but journey back to her older post and fall in love like many have.

I hope to get a post up over the weekend to the link for adding a scroller for all the buttons and how to add your code. I didn't create this, but it's a nice way to keep them all organized in one place.

Have a great weekend,
Kate - The Garden Bell

Your posts always brighten my day and the hand stitched pillow cases are a sure way to bring back memories of some pieces my grandmother made for me. Your cherished pair are so lovely and the flowers the perfect shade of Valentine red. I think you may have received your grandmother's eye for beauty! ~jermaine~

So lovely! I used to have some of my grandmother's embroidery. Hmm. Where did those things go??? I've lost so many precious things over the years. It seems like every time I move I lose a box or something.

I'll pop over and visit you at Reverie now! ;)
