{GO FOR IT....be flexible }

if a love one/friend invites you out
for a cupcake.....
a strawberry scone...
{thanks Rosie}
a piece of cherry pie...
breakfast...lunch or dinner...
please remember this story.......
*
[I can't count the times I called my sister and said,
"How about going to lunch in a half hour?"
She would gasp and stammer,
"I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty.
I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast.
It looks like rain."
And my personal favourite:
"It's Monday."
She died a few years ago.
We never did have lunch together]

"Too many people put off something that brings them joy
because they don't have it on their schedule,
didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their
routine."
{peter legge..If only I said that volume 5}
*
Go for it...don't miss out on life's Joys
*
{don't you just love the cupcake sprinkles I found?}

love and hugs....koralee

You are so right Koralee! I'm working on becoming much more spontaneous. Life can change in the blind of an eye. People are what is most important, not doing things. And, sprinkles should be on everything!!!

Truly some wise words ~ thank you for reminding us of that today!

I have been turning down friend requests of late - running a home business is fun but it is always there, always open, always reminding you to keep working. This is a good reminder, very good indeed.

When I was cleaning out my grandmothers home I found clothing, linens, etc all saved for "a special occasion".

It made me sad. Then I decided to use them before it was another day of being too late.

Please stop by an enter my French Basketeer tote giveaway.

love the new header too!

That is heart breaking and profound, and to some extent, I learned that lesson through sad times years ago. Now someone I love tells me she will visit me in 5 years due to her schedule. I told her that 5 years is a long time! You are very sweet to share this little story with us.

Yes, love the cupcake sprinkles! Since my cat Bonnie has been gone, I have made a point to take the time to stroke the other three pet's heads and say out loud: "I love you." Don't know if they understand. But I need to say it anyway.

I will remember the story Koralee.. My sister died nearly 3 years ago.. we are totally different, and she just kept herself to herself as far as I was concerned, not all the time, and sometimes i would get a phone call out of the blue, saying she would come and see me .. She never came here.. :-(

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry to hear that about your sister...but you're right...we need to take the time to live while we're living....

today, I'm singing out loud, at the top of my lungs!

Oh that gave me goosebumps. I adore my sisters, they're twins and even though I'm the eldest by a couple of years, I feel like they've taken care of me so much more (I'm the goofy one). But we're there for each other and we see each other heaps, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am very grateful really but it wouldn't hurt to share it more. :-) xo

What a truthful reminder. And I feel like I know many people that are like this - too rigidt to branch out and do something fun or spontaneous. I hope I'm never like that. Good reminder. Thank you friend.

Good morning, Koralee!
Oh I just saw your new post!
I'm home today {routine dr's appt's} and it's a GLORIOUS DAY! Who would have known a month ago when the nurse told me that 10am on May 20th was all she had, that my day would look like this!

Koralee, this post is so powerful. When we were younger moms, and "let things around the house go" a little bit so we could spend some time visiting ...one of my friends always said,

"I really don't want the only thing on my tombstone to say, 'She kept a clean house.'"

I think of that often when the excuses start coming on for why I shouldn't or can't...

Blessings to you dear ♥ I hope your day is sweet!
and I do love those sprinkles :o)
