The gingham dog went "bow-wow-wow"
And the calcio cat replied "mee-ow"

The air was littered, an hour or so,
With bits of gingham & calico

Koralee... you're soooo cute... love the writing on the clothes pin!
Gingham reminds me of my grandmother and mother...their sweet aprons... like yours :o)
It also reminds me of the many baby bibs I sewed for my three, family, friends and for Grandma's Pie Shop in Albany. Gingham was my background print of choice!
so easy and sweet and clean!
*Happy Weekend my dear!
Wishing you an awesome time camping ~

with blessings on your way . . .

your aprons are precious and I love how "cheeky" they are! hehehehe

oh and you so have me craving fall candles now. I may just have to purchase one. mmmmmm
pumpkin spice has been one of my favorite scents for autumn. It's funny, I made beef stew and cornbread for dinner last night and my friend told me I was making cold weather food. (it's still reaching the 100s here) guess I'm just ready for fall!!! :)

Have a lovely weekend Koralee!

That little song or is it a story is cute! When reading it, i sang {in my head} the words on the melody of the wheels of the bus go round..
Gingham = happiness. Even more in these cheery colors.
Hope you are having a lovely time in Seattle today, perhaps you are about to jump in the car.. In the Netherlands it's bathing time, my four little monkeys have been in the garden all afternoon, sand, swing, tumbling backwards, forwards, jumping, the things little ones should be doing in Summertime. Lots of hugs for a joyful weekend, sweet Koralee. xxxxx

Those remind me of a certain stack of tablecloths on the cover of one Better Homes and Gardens issue when I was a teenager. One layer of each gingham..each with bright colored cross-stitch on their borders...placed on the table this way and that way...I could NOT stop looking at them!

Gingham. Just saying the word makes me happy, but gingham aprons, two of the best words ever. Better than James' "Summer afternoons."

What is it about gingham? I think it reminds me of picnics and a simpler time...so pretty! And I love that sweet poem.
You've got me wondering if Mom has any gingham aprons tucked away in the old house. I must investigate soon as most of her and dad's belongings will go up for sale in a few weeks. My brother will be home from Arizona to help with an estate sale/auction. Mom is in a nursing home now, and she isn't able to care for herself so living alone in a big old house is out of the question. My feelings about the sale are bittersweet. It will be nice to get the place cleaned out, but I it makes the fact that they aren't ever going to be right next door again so
FINAL...ah, but life goes on and we must look for our blessings and the simple things that bring delight. Thank you Koralee for your daily reminders!
Love you, my friend!
Blessings!
