{good day vs bad day....it's up to you}

How to have a bad day...
wake up late
rush to get ready
have coffee and a doughnut
no spiritual reflection
no exercise
focus on failures
never smile
be selfish and unfriendly
criticize, blame, condemn, complain
see your work as a necessary evil
think negative, derogatory thoughts
dictate, direct,command
don't forget to nag
don't overlook any mistakes
grumble all day long
no time for lunch
harbour resentment, internalize stress
no breaks, no relaxation, keep rushing
take your work home
curse, gripe, resent
worry about getting through tomorrow
be rigid and cranky
retire with bad thoughts
{p. legge}
~
{now go make it a good one}

Good point. I have a heavy day ahead of me today, will try to do the opposite of all these things. Though the doughnut sounds like a good thing!

You covered that one pretty well. I hate to say that I know a few people that live each day this way.
I believe your thoughts have power and you choose your own reaction.
Great post!

Such good advice, my dear. I am readying for Silver Bella (I leave on Wednesday) and my tendency is to be really crabby right now. So...I am going to drop that one and work on having a good day.

I was thrlled to see you in Artful Blogger! Congratulations...you are so deserving and you give me and others so much!

ugh It really takes soooooo much effort to be in a bad mood really.

Grumpy negative people must have a lot of energy wasted...

It is so much easier being happy don't you think?

Clever list, and hey, I've been there.

Absolutely true, Koralee! My girls and I were just talking about this very thing yesterday...you can CHOOSE to be depressed and gloomy when bad things happen...because they WILL happen. Or, you can CHOOSE to be positive and happy regardless of what happens to you...

So important to remember!

Have a beautiful day, my friend!

I never undersood people who's glass is half empty...what's the point? It's all about our perceptions, and I choose to see the positive in every situation x

Gloria said...

How can one start off on a bad note when viewing that sweet photo?!
The words on how to have a bad day are a great reminder to not focus on the bad! It can lead to that downward spiral of despairing in God. And, as Marilla (from Anne of Green Gables) said, "To despair is to turn your back on God." ...Such a wise comment!
I hope you are having a VERY good day, Sweet Koralee! :)
xoxo Gloria

A Good Day!...
My Parents would joke sometimes with us...6 kids..if one is a bit cranky and off they would joke about getting up on the wrongside of the bed.. once one of us went back and got up again.
It is our choice :)
