{the joy of learning something new....}

when was the last time....
you did something for the first time?
don't "go" through life ~ "grow" through life
{from the book 5}
what would you like to learn to do this year?
At age 86 Ruth Rothfarb ran the Boston Marathon in just over five hours...
"you lose a lot of speed between 80 and 86," she joked

I love to learn new things, but sometimes it can be a little scary...like when I started my blog. I think it keeps a person young at heart though :)

Hi Koralee,

Thank you very much for your sweet comment on my blog. I enjoyed it very much :-)! Your blog does not only look lovely, but I like the the little messages and quotes you put on them. They are so positive and remind me very much of Saskia's blog. Which I like very much as well!

Enjoy your day!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Nail on head Koralee. My husband and I declared this year (back in September when we had our birthdays) our year of the road less travelled so we've been trying lots of new things and I'm addicted. I now know I really like persimmons!

My Dear Koralee,
I believe this too! Growing takes us to our blissful state. We are all here to learn to our absolute clear state of being.
Warm fuzzies to my sweet friend this week!

Oh that is soooo cute! I have always wanted to be a runner. I once watched the runners cross the finish line at the Los Angeles marathon and vowed I would do that one day too. That was about 22 years ago and I doubt I could run up my street right now! But I talked to my son about he and I doing a triathalon together ... a lofty goal but if Ruth can do it - maybe I can too. :)

Ha ha, a Marathon running is certainly not my thing, i just hate jogging! But i'd love to spaek fluent Italian, write a book, travel through India, have my own design-collection, have a balloon-ride ... yes, new things are fun. Let's see what the year will bring!

mmmmmm....what would I like to learn to do, you ask? I'm thinking I need to learn to proof-reading better...he-he.... But, then I would never get to posting, right? OH, OH, OH... I got it... I want to learn to see more of the world through my camera just like you, my friend. What a great picture.

Extra Message - I'm seriously going to think about it, once I'm better and caught up. Pretty sure you know what I'm whispering about.

That is an amazing fact about that lady, amazing! I think 5 hours would be good for me! I knew a lady at age 90 who made hundreds of quilts a year and gave them away. Hope all is well with you! :D

OH PRECIOUS KORALEE, I simply cannot catch up with all THE GORGEOUSNESS here in blogland! I wake up at 3:00 to just visit everyone, and then I come to see that after I do my check-ins, people then post!!! AND I AM LATE! Well, being back in the classroom will do that to ya! Oh dearest, YES, IT IS FRIDAY and WE MADE IT DEAR! Although it was a sweet week of refiring the childrens' love of reading and writing, we all want to be home, play and dream. And so it is; my new construction is ALMOST DONE and will require that Ruben and I clean up a load of dust and mess from our existing home THIS WEEKEND before the FLOOR GETS INSTALLED NEXT WEEK!

You sweet gal; what a fabulous post. I am posting late tonight and I seem to noticed a common theme among us all....hmmmmmm....I think we are all fired up to GROW AND KEEP GROWING!!!

Enjoy your Friday, Anita
