~tiny delights~

We are all eligible for life's small pleasures
a pat on the back.......a rainbow across the sky......the laughter of good friends......an empty parking space........cherry blossoms.......licking the beaters.......a pair of warm hazel eyes......a cup of hot tea......a child learning her ABC's.....watching a robin build her nest

Enjoy life's tiny delights........there are plenty for all of us

xox

Only he who gives thanks for the little things receives the big things.

I love this. I think the tiny delights are what life is all about. And licking the beaters brings back memories of my childhood. When my girls hear it...they come running! :)

So true, Koralee! It's about living in the moment. When we live in the moment we notice the little things more and these turn out to be the things that count! I like how you say we are all eligible for life's pleasures. These really are gifts that are available to each and every one of us. If only we all saw it that way!

Sena

p.s. poor Heidi though, I can't imagine having five inches of snow right now! Yikes!

I have been watching a couple of purple finches build their nest. Yes, indeed, it's the litle things that money can't buy that are truly the most delightful!

OH I so get this...I pray for parking spaces ...& God honors this...I get to watch a family of birds invest in our bird house every year...The cherry blossoms are "ablooming" in the front yard of the house our kids just bought...and I am going...with my tea...right now to cozy on the couch with my lovey!
Thanks Koralee for the sweet reminder of the "little things".
Hope this finds you feeling a bit stronger & your back less sore!

Licking the beaters!!!! *raises hand* And *gasp* I let my toddler do it too.... But I would say, as the mother of a little girl learning her ABCs, there's nothing little about that one. It's one of the most amazing, most joyful thins to watch! I'm so blessed to witness this wonder. Lots of hugs, Koralee, and thank you for sharing the big and little joys with us. You're an inspiration.

Little things for me: It rained all day and 44 degrees, so I took my shower, changed into clean PAJAMAS and sewed all day while listening to the Renaissance Music podcasts (I think I spelled that wrong), with a fire going in the wood-stove and my three doggies curled around it. Lots of little things add up to a glorious day. Thank you for helping me count my blessings today. Love, Linda
