Ooooooh, how yummy, Koralee! The run around the house will DEFINITELY be worth it! There really is nothing like homemade ice cream, is there?!

I'm off to make a double batch of the most decadent banana bread (complete with a bag of white chocolate chips in it!) for my family for our Sunday treat...I'm going to have to run around the house 6000 times!

Wishing you a beautiful night, dear friend...

My mouth is watering at the prospect. I think you should have another helping just for me Koralee. What's a little lap or 3000 when the rewards taste this good. xx

If that tastes as good as it looks, I'd be in serious trouble. Yummy! Worth every bite, I'm sure.

Hi Koralee,

Your strawberry icecream looks delicious and worth all the 3000 laps.
Homemade is the best and you know that it does not have any preservatives.

Happy week

Oh my! That looks scrumptious! My husband loves to make homemade ice cream, but he does it the old fashioned way, when it's snowing (no machine, I kid you not). Since summer is the season of ice cream, I should really ask him to leave his medieval ways and try out the technology one of these days. Then I'll join you for some around the house runs. Xoxo

Hi Koralee!
I've never made homemade ice cream! Sounds like I should do this though ;o)
We made it once in 4-H when the kids were young. It was DELICIOUS... and yes, no comparison. What brand of maker do you have?

{Here, we are back in Noah's Ark... thinking I'll do some sewing and crocheting!}

Wishing you lots of joy this week & always,
xoxo * Maria

Hi Koralee, one of my fondest childhood memories is summer days spent at my Mammaw's house in Mississippi. All the aunts and uncles and cousins gathered. We would take turns churning homemade ice cream the old fashioned way -- banana and peach -- oh my goodness! Definitely better than anything you can get in the store. Did you ever try the coffee can method with your class? I did it with my kindergarten kids but it takes a lot of rolling to get it to thicken. :) Enjoy! And have a great week. Best wishes, Tammy

when I was little on the weekends, my dad would make homemade ice cream in our electric ice cream maker that you had to put salt in. It was so noisy he would put it in the garage after he turned it on. It was a special treat, oh so good!

My downfall, Koralee. And you are so right. Once you make it, why eat it out? The only reason I do once in a while, is to garner some new flavor ideas! I never met an ice cream I didn't love.

Yum! I remember making homemade ice cream in my high school physical science class. It was at the beginning of the year in 9th grade, and our teacher promised my class we could make it again on our last day of class in June. We all brought yummy toppings, and it was beautiful out so we were allowed to make the ice cream outside. It was so much fun and super delicious!

liz said...

That is just what I made this weekend too. You're right about no more shop bought ice-cream. We had, and I am still having, vanilla and strawberry. I think lavender may be good too. I will probably need a marathon! Liz xxx

Perfect... time to break mine out. Thanks for the reminder. Am I missing the recipe? Is it FAT free?...hardly a chance, right.

Half your seeds are in the other half after a quick bite of lunch. Devine planting day. Not too hot and Not too cold and the Sun is shining oh, so bold.

Now, just where did I stash that ice cream maker last fall, lord only knows.

Okay, Koralee....you must tell me the exact make and model of the ice maker that you have. I would love for us to make our own ice cream. While, it still may be fattening, at least it will be healthier. Especially if we use organic ingredients. It looks soooo yummy! Have a yummy week!

p.s. I received Matthew Mead's summer magazine book (mook) ;) I love it! It is such a lovely mag/book. Thank you tons to both of you!

OH THAT ICE CREAM IS GETTING TO ME!!!! Dearest Koralee! You have Mondays off? SPLENDID! That really helps you get things done! And you are in the process of writing another article for the magazine...that is so cool. You certainly have oodles of recipes that delight the senses my sweet one! AND I AM SO THRILLED THAT YOUR BACK IS SO MUCH BETTER! My one side of my hip will feel a pull, but that is all. I can work out with no problem and some tests that I had done came back fine...now I just have to deal with the mild roseacea on my face! I am talking with a lot of women my age who are getting it with the menopause thing....less estrogen, more apt to get this condition due to dryness of the skin. WOW...what the old body has to endure..but that GOD our spirit doesn't fall apart!!!!!

I AM ALSO THRILLED THAT YOU ARE JOINING THE PARIS PARTY!!!! YIPEEEEEE! I am proudly putting your name and link on my list on my draft. I am honored dearest that you would join!

Off to settle in for the night....bonne nuit!! Anita

OH! AND YIPPEEEE THAT YOUR LOVED ONE IS HOME!!!
