{my joys this week}

What I am loving about my week so far

some pretty new {old} books my daughter #1 found
my new 7 foot tall mirror
a sweet bunting my daughter #2 made me for my kitchen window
my cookie jar filled  to the brim with home-made ginger snaps made by daughter #3
thinking about tomorrow when I get to meet my sweet blogging friend Maaike
face to face for the very first time
my comfy worn out old flannel jammies......the first thing I put on when I get home from school even if it is only 4pm ....jammie love
happy it is almost the weekend and I am still healthy.......I have been dodging sick kids all week

xox

A family is a unit composed not only of children,
 but of men,
 women,
 an occasional animal
 and the common cold

hope you are all staying healthy

Oh yes...you had better dodge mine...all the kids have runny noses :)

That is TONS of joy around your house! I am thinking those ginger snaps would be very tasty right now :) Good thing I have at least one daughter :) I need some of that girly joy too!

Oh my.. how lucky you are to have 3 daughters! I wish I'd had more, the only one I had moved 2000 miles away and took my 2 GDs and I'm not handling it well at all.

Lovely things you are enjoying this week...daughters are wonderful! I love the quote, how true that is...sooo many colds and other bugs circulate around young children and spread into their families. Hope you stay cold free and have a lovely weekend.

Good morning my most precious Koralee,

Well, all I can say is that the magic you brought to me when WE MET is something I will never forget. Maaike will be just as enchanted as I was and still am.

YOU GOT A NEW MIRROR? Are you loving it? AND you are well equipped with ginger snaps for a cozy weekend and that darling tea pot cozy! Ooooooo how a trip to Canada is on my wishlist; I would run to see you and our Rosie girl, who I miss so much...and dearest, today is Friday, we survived...but I am having moments of awful stress and I need to control it. How another visit with you would shake away the stress!

BE WELL MY DEAR ONE! Anita

So far so good as far as sickness. It is beautiful here in Iowa right now. The leaves are turning and it is mild and sunny. I will have to get out for a walk! :)

Hi Koralee!
You always put a smile on my face whenever I visit here!
Isn't autumn weather perfect for getting cozy early?! I do love the seasons {although I would really love to put in a request for more sunshine}

Vintage books look great when they're together that way ~
The Happy Hollisters, story of a clipper ship captain in their family's past, reminds me of Chris' true family history! His great, great, great grandfather -Captain Hayes- was captain of the Rainbow clipper ship!

Tomorrow, we'll be helping for half a day with flood cleanup in a nearby community ~ then our own kitchen cleanup in the afternoon!
{I count my blessings just thinking about how opposite my morning and afternoon will be!}

I hope you are at the beginning of a lovely weekend! Happy Friday to you dear ♥

I am so envious of you having your girls around you. Happily, I'm off to visit mine in the morning...but a week a few times a year just isn't enough for me. Obviously, if I want more...eventually we will have to go where she is because Mickey Mouse has a tight hold on her.

If I put my jammies on at 4:00, I'd be sleeping by 5:00 and I'm a night owl. There is just something too cozy and warm, and then I'm done for the night!

Loved your post with the tea cozy. I, too, have met so many sweet friends through blogging! Hope you have a nice visit with Maaika! xoxo Jina

My darling friend,

Oh how we both need a break...but you will soon have one to enjoy THANKSGIVING! HOW MARVELOUS MY SWEET KORALEE! Being with mum and dad will be a blessing to your heart and how is everything at the new homestead? Did you put your little glitter bird somewhere so you could remember that I just admire you?

Sending YOU tons of blue love...let's hide under that blue pumpkin on my post and wish upon a star...Anita
