{sorry I got a little silly with this}
1. you can hide the pits outside under the Fall leaves in hopes that a squirrel will find them
for his winter pantry
2. celebrate uniqueness...everyone else is munching on apples this time of year
2. celebrate uniqueness...everyone else is munching on apples this time of year
3. what other time of the year can you eat cherries and pumpkins together?
cherry and pumpkin muffins.......one of the best combinations ever.......try it.
4. cherry stained lips are the "it" fashion for this Autumn
5. make yourself a cozy pit pad to warm your chilly feet........
pit pads are heating pads that are filled with dried cherry pits
that have the ability to retain and slowly release heat
for long periods of time
your cold feet will thank you
6. extra reason.......... no other pie can make you as happy as a
fresh cherry pie
pure JOY
You may want to forget reason #1......I just read that cherry pits are poisonous if eaten in
large quantities.......I wonder if Mr. Squirrel know this?
Make it a good week my friends

Good that you wrote to forget about reason # 1. I as thinking already where I would hide the pits for the squirrels to find them.
Reason # 6. They look lovey in pictures.

OWOOWWWWWWW! Do you know, that I have been eating frozen cherries all summer long in my yogurt, every morning, embellished with cocoa powder??? AND ALMONDS????? Now I have to try that cherry/pumpkin combo!!!! THOSE SQUIRRELS are not up to speed yet on the cherries here; they are leaving APPLES on my window sills!!!! And French bread hunks in my garden..sheesh!

The idea of cherries and pumpkins is now going to be floating around in my head until I do something about it!! Muffins, bread, squares??? Wow, what an amazing combination to try!! Thanks for sharing (and for your lovely note on my blog) xo
for every special dinner my always made a cherry
pie . . . could have been called cheery pie!
I absolutely LOVE cherries! I had no idea the pits were poisonous if eaten in large quantities. I also didn't know you could make a nice heating pad. I'll have to start saving the pits!
Cherry & pumkin...well that is amazing!..I will try that!....& as Ilove rice bags I am sure a cherry pit bag will be better! Thanks for always inspiring!
I can just taste them now.....
I love all your cute cherry thoughts! I never knew you could use the pits as a foot warmer! I always have cold feet, so I will have to remember the save them next time I'm nibbling!
xo!
goodmorning Koralee , my grandmother always told me eating pits would make a tree grow in my belly ......
now I know better !
I guess the squirrels do not keep the pits for long and leave them all around to become trees ?
happy monday for you and your dear ones
Our cherry season is now just a memory but I would love the chance for a second bite.
Anna
You're so right, Koralee! Cherries are fabulous. I made a gingerbread dessert with them once so I bet pumpkin muffins with cherries would be divine!
Oh, Mr. Squirrel might have a good use for them anyway! I love this post and a funny, fresh start to Monday. Have a good one! :)
Cherries are my favourite, so wonderful; i am a big fan of cherry jam... must try the pie actually;
Yummo! I love fresh cherries! Your 6 reasons to eat them are great!
Blessings~
Delightful cherry loving post! I love to eat freshly picked cherries...and I love cherry pie too. Have a happy week, Koralee.

Which to choice. I need all the above. I so want to make on of my heating bags with pits now. But, first I'll be off to stain my lips, as you know the G.B. must be in style with the "it" look for fall. You are always so clever and think up such amazing little ideas. Do you know I adore you?
Hi Koralee,
Number 1 to 6 bring a big smile to my face :-)!
Wish you a happy new week! Enjoy your cherries!

Oh... indeed!
must try pumpkin & cherry muffins... ♥ mmmmmm
Lol - Mr. Squirrel. Yummy-licious cherries!! Happy Monday! :)
What fun list, my lipstick color is plum, perhaps I should give it a try, cherry in Fall. Sounds good.
Have a cherry merry Monday, Koralee xxx
I wondering how they found out about the poison in the pits. Who actually eats them in large quantities I wonder?
Hi Koralee,
What a great list you have shared with us.
The feet warmers is such a great idea and will have to try the cherry and pumpkin muffins.
Cherries are one of my favourite fruit too.
Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn
Hi Koralee!
Although you later wrote that the cherry pits are not so good for squirrels, I'm smiling anyway imagining their winter pantries...
So fun to watch them now as they scurry about gathering for their "pantries"
I'll have to look for cherries at my market. I do hope they have autumn cherries! Chris found a wild cherry tree in the woods behind our house. He actually tasted them!
Thank you for the late night smiles, Koralee!
We're up late emptying cabinets for our kitchen redo. It will be hard to see the sink go... possibly later this week.
Hope your school days are sweet as autumn cherries ♥
~Maria

I still remember me and my brother compete on who could tie the knot of the cherry stem from our mouth first after eating the fruit ... oh those where the days ♥
I am having the time of my life !

Big hug ......
Now I am going to have to bake a fresh cherry pie. Never have before.
