we have been to the apple orchard
and enjoying ever last apple we picked.
I put them in
apple sauce
mini heart shaped apple pies
and
apple cake
{recipe for one of the best apple cakes found here}

I even had a little chitchat with the "apple orchard girls"
they were all very polite until they realized
I was not going to set them free
{they even tried their sad eyes out on me but I remained strong}

Hugs to you all
we are celebrating our Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend
hoping to get my fill of
my MOM's pumpkin pie
I'll save a piece for you
{xox}

Your heart shaped pies are a delectable inspiration....and a grand temptation! It's a good thing you live on the other side of Canada...or I'd be knockin' at your door for a bite...or two....or three!

Isn't it amazing how many things you can do with an apple?! That first one is too pretty to eat though! We have applesauce simmering right now & the house smells sooo good! Kelly has a HUGE apple tree at the farm & is determined to use every apple...one night he came home with a 15 gallon tub, a ten gallon pail AND 2 5 gallon pails FULL of apples....luckily they are storing nicely in the basement...let;s just say we don't put the canner away & all our friends are probably sick of apple butter :) that doesn't even count all the other pails he comes home with other weekends! I think the tree finally got cleaned off before the freeze...thank goodness...my kitchen needs a rest! :) We didn't even think of making sweet apple cakes like you made!!! Yummy!

Good afternoon my beloved friend!

How is your Thanksgiving holiday going on????? I have been thinking of YOU, then I see you popped over this morning! Oh Koralee, thank you for your kind comments about my paper work. It has to develop but for now, it is what it as as an ornament, a trinket, a keepsake. But I envision a story line, MORE. But it takes day by day, scrap of paper by scrap to finally build something with a STORY.

I am having fun just taking one PHOTO AT A TIME to see what kind of lighting I can get. I am enjoying taking photos in my dining room where it seems to be the brightest. Next project: To take a close up of something with intense color!

Hugs to you my beloved friend! Anita

HAPPY THANKSGIVING KORALEE! There is no greater way to celebrate a holiday than being surrounded by loved ones.
My favorite Apple Crisps are in season, which gets me excited to bake too. "An apple a day"...makes me a happy gal, especially when there's baked goodies involved.
Your heart shaped pie is the perfect reflection of my love for apple pies.

Sweet wishes,
Sara
