happy hearts to you

a batch of these lollipop heart cookies
will surely sweeten up even the grumpiest grump

start with store bought suckers/lollipops

a  note to remember about suckers and ovens......
only use suckers with paper sticks as plastic sticks will melt
making one big mess
and
if you think you are clever by buying heart shaped lollipops
{like me}
don't bother
as they will melt into a circle blob anyways
which is okay as they still are darling
however some of mine did remained heart shape
{maybe 3 out of 12}

using your favourite sugar cookie dough recipe
cut out heart shapes
press a lollipop into the center of each heart
and bake
{peeking is allowed now and again to make sure all is going well in that oven}

results.......
happy hearts with stained glass windows

{xox}

a wee little note......
People are like stained glass windows
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is
revealed only if there is light from within.

Beautiful little note Koralee! And those cookies/suckers are adorable! I wish my daughter was still little because they would be perfect to send to school for her class mates! Will you hand them out to your students? So cute! Have a great weekend!

Beautiful and so sweet! Thank you for a great idea to make with the my girl for this Valentine's day. Just because we're in a new city and don't know many people doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate right? ;)

I hope all is well my friend. Will you be doing book signings or a tour? If you do, please make sure you do a quick little stop by Portland, won't you? Oh, and I hope you don't mind if I plan on doing a review of your book on my blog?

YOU are so brilliant, Koralee.

I too my dear heart, have been so strangely BUSY that I keep missing new posts that seem to be popping up all the day long! I am here every morning from 4:00am on , but I missed this one!

It was so fabulous to see you visited me yesterday AND that your mum's name is Marie? What a beautiful name....my name was tossed about so many times...I almost became a BLANCHE! YES.... my mother's middle name was Blanche. "Blanche Neige" is French for Snow White and maybe that would have suited me since my students tell me I look like her!!!!!!!! that is funny to me....a Latina Snow White!

Oh these cookies, they are sweet as pie, and could only be fabricated by YOU...the sweetest of all.

Oh Koralee, SPRING IS ALMOST HERE! I cannot wait to get my book in the mail and to wave it around and say, "This is my friend who wrote this book!" and then to sit and look at every gorgeous page.

OK, let's get our Saturday off the ground! LOVE TO YOU! Anita
