{a pretty little place}

nothing makes me happier than finding
a little gem of a place
 unexpectedly
{this is the joy of travelling..........you are always discovering}
well that is what happened to us
when we were looking for
a cup of tea in Holland

we stumbled upon this darling little place in Apledoorn
 I am so sorry I did not even get the name of it...I was just so happy to have found this pretty little place.......so I can't share
 all I remember is that it is right around the corner from a place called beans & bagels

I arrived back home with many new decorating ideas in my head
first off.......I will be looking for some of these silver trays and dishes
to paint with chalkboard paint

{xox}

a wee little note....
the winner of the signed copy of my book is
lucky number 152......Nancy Watkins Friesen

I know my sis Kate actually gets some great silver trays at ...the dollar tree! & she paints up the center with chalkboard paint like that. I have one in my kitchen & it is remarkably study!!! My kids pound it around & it holds up beautifully! Lovely pics! Someday I'll travel...someday! :)

What a fabulous find on your travels. I knew you would have a great time. So excited to have a new gem myself. I've paged through heavenly pages of sugary treats all night. Your book is my treasure to have found today. Now, I need to make my way to Canada with pen in hand to your signature. Would that not be too fun. Congrats, The Garden Bell- Kate

I love that about traveling too! Of course, my traveling is usually to visit my mom and dad, but my mother always has a new place or two that she's discovered that is charming, and my sisters and I die over it! Darling idea to use those silver trays with chalk. I'm sure you'll find the perfect spot for them in your home too. Glad you're home safe and sound. xoxo
