I LOVE FIGS! And fig butter? OH but of course!!! Slathered on a nice hunk of brioche or any other eggy bread is pretty darn fabulous! And the little seeds are so yummy to chew. Dried fig cakes are a specialty in Spain and are a treat around Christmas! LOVE that you are enjoying some time in the kitchen! We are having a fall-like day here today and I'm working on a poem but I also feel like taking a nap! I think I will!

And this is the very day you took the extra effort... the additional few minutes... snipped those beautiful pink hydrangeas blooms from your front bed (the ones I look at from my kitchen window every day) and stepped across the road to introduce yourself to me. Do you know that I had just asked the Lord to let me meet some more neighbors that day?
