Shelf Happy
Where do you keep your
happy bits and sweet bobs?
I hung 3 enamelware containers on my wall
making little shelves to house all sort of
glorious goodies
I used those damage free 3m adhesive strips to hang my containers.
The strips hold very well
but I would not put anything really heavy on my shelves
just in case
it doesn't take much to make me happy
just a few pretty odds and ends
out of the drawers and on display
Nothing could be easier

My 2 week Spring Break has arrived for me
I will be popping in and out
but will try to visit you when I can

Enjoy the break.
Love the shelves.
Oh I would put too much in them and they would fall down and go boom.
I mostly use baskets for all my odds and ends.
You are amazing my friend! What a creative and lovely way to display your sweet collections!

Happy 2 weeks off!
Great idea for your enamel ware! I may borrow your idea. Do you have other colors other than the white and blue?
That is a clever way to create shelves. I like the tea cups and also the ribbon or tape collection.
Such pretty little shelves my friend. You are so creative! I hope all is well :)
Blessings,
Marcia

YOU MADE IT TO SPRING BREAK! I have two more weeks to go then I am on mine. Koralee, you and I both love to keep little goodies organized in sweet places, even if I never use these articles, I still love to keep them close by, just to look at!
All your objects of friendship, color, joy and love are so sweet, like you. I still have many of the notions you have been kind enough to send me, and will always keep them close.
I sure have missed you. This is a busy time of year for all of us, so I wish you relaxed time off and JOY!

SWEET FREE AS A BLUEBIRD! Hello! How exciting; as I type this, you are done with school and are down in Seattle! YIPEEEE! And I am so happy to see you came by. You make my day, you really do. I literally think of sweet bluebirds and spring is finally starting to sing around here! I took a walk and it felt so refreshing to go outside and hear, see and feel the snow melting under my feet.
Much love to you my friend! My spring break is the first week of April!
Oh my goodness! These are so very cute!! And they do make such wonderful creative shelves!! Love all your goodies and treasures inside!! :) Sooo pretty! Happy sweet day! xo Holly
What a sweet idea. They certainly wouldn't stay on the walls here. The environment is way too dry and dusty. Our Spring Break is very late this year. Not until the week before Easter. Usually it is in March. I'll be ready for it when it gets here. Enjoy yours! Best wishes, Tammy
Such a wonderful idea dear Koralee....your photographs look so pretty!
Wishing you a wonderful spring break!

I read what Anita wrote and I had NO idea .
SPRINGBRAKE ? That sounds wonderful .
Koralee-time !
Are you making something for your grandchild ?
I always loved to make things and than when my grandchild was on it's way I became very insecure .
And for a long time I did not make a thing .
In the tradition of Waldorf school , where I was a kindergarten-teacher and where all my four children went to school ..... There is this little handmade first doll for new-borns . The story behind it is you put the doll in the cradle and the magic starts . The will absorb the smell of the newborn . Lateron when the baby's little hands will go on their discovery the little doll will be there , waiting to be captured .......
And than the friendship can begin ....
Because the one who made the doll for the newborn made it with love . Thinking about the child to be Born ...... putting some love in every stitch .....
Sometimes the mother makes the doll but it can also be a grandmother or a good friend .
They choose the material ( soft flanel ) and the color and by choosing the color of the embroidery silk you can give it a personaly touch .
Also by choosing the beautiful patch fabric for the bonnet you can give the doll something unique .
I did not dare to make one when my daugther-in-law was expecting . She has her own traditions and I wanted to respect that . She was to be the mother she choosed to be . Ruising your children in the waldorf tradition is a lifestyle EACH and every-one has to choose for themselves .
And than , my Son was flabbergasted about that !
The newborn was also HIS child and HÈ was to be the father and of course there had to be a little first-Born doll .... From me for HIS child ..... Their child .
He explained how Vanessa loves him because of how hè has become as a person and the waldorf tradition in our family is a part of that .
So just a fee WEEKS BEFORE the birth I went on my mission ..... Collecting all the materials ..... And I shared the process with my daugther-in-law.
That made the bound of mother and grandmother already special .
I have a lot of wonderful fabrics in my storage but not one seemed right for the newborn-girl .....
So I went to the store and looked around what fabric was waiting for this event ......
And than I found it ...... If it was not for this opportunity I probably never would have choosed this one .
Light Brown with small white dots ......
And than .... When Eva was born .... And they showde me the birth-announce-cards they had designed .......
The card had a small edge ......light brown with small white dots .... How about that ?
Ever since Eva still sleeps with her doll .
All this ..... I am writing while sondering what traditions there are in your family !
Happy SPRINGBRAKE
Always inspirational, dear Koralee!
What a fabulous idea...and everything in the shelves is the yummiest of colors...
Have a blissful spring break, sweet friend!
Hugs,
- Irina

KORALEE!!!!!!!
I was thinking of your today on my way home from work. I pray you are enjoying yourself with your parents, and yes, how fantastic it would be to share a cup of tea together! I am enjoying yet another flavor this month: Vanilla Hazelnut! WOW, WOW, WOW! With some crunchy biskies, and the world is good...at least my world!
Thank you so much for coming to visit today! Hugs to you my dear friend! Anita
Such a lovely idea. Anne x ( just popping by via Teresa's blog ) x
Oh I love your blog! I found you via Teresa Kasner, I so love her blog for it is always filled with lovely photos that burst with color. I also love your blog, too!
Wow, your work is amazing. I look forward to following your blog and seeing all the new things you create in the future.
Blessings to you always :)
I don't even have things that look like yours! All those color drops of sweetness in one place, clever you! Have a nice break!
I use those stips for everything...but idon't know if I would have thought of them for the shelves! amazing!!!!! Completely!
I had to read this twice. At first I thought you may have screwed the shelves up. I could not do that to my pans. I found a new place to purchase vintage enamel and I may do shelves too. Thank you!
