So very funny. I live in Houston. Truly appreciated the humor. It will be below 32 for more than 8 hours. You would think we are experiencing a snow storm. Thankful for seat warmers in cars.
oh how I have missed your knack for inducing smiles! well, clever girl...as I sit here sipping on hot cocoa...and looking out my window....I see some snow covered ground and I'm secretly hoping for just a bit more! I love it when the scene outside is full of soft, white, fluffly and clumpy...slow-motion snowflakes falling! It is so serene and charming....
and besides, I'm still really into knitting and crocheting with yarn..and that just doesn't work for me in the warmer weather!
Mmmmm??? Snow??? Isn't that something for the end of this year? Aren't we heading for spring now??? I WANT to be heading for spring now!!! Your photo is a fresh reminder of the fact that it's still winter though... allthough... Are you longing for summer yet ;-) flipflopping through the snow ;-)) GREAT post again Koralee!!!! Bye, Marian
I don't know? :) But God knows...and since HE is in control my mind will rest at ease, and just enjoy the beauty of that pretty pink flip-flop in all that ice and snow.
Koralee, you will love The King's Speech and I'm certain your husband will too! My husband is also a history buff and he saw something on TV about the movie and said he thought it was a movie we would both like. Well, I had to confess that I had already seen it last Thursday when my friend (the Principal) and I went in between school and Open House that evening, and yes, I think he would love it! I wish that the four of us could meet and go to see the movie together! And have dinner afterward! :) We are expecting 12 to 18 inches of snow tomorrow. School has already been cancelled…our first SNOW DAY of the year! I *love* love* love * the *snow * when I don’t have to drive in it! Your pretty flip flop pic made me marvel at your imagination and creativity once again! Happy winter no matter how long! Blessings!
we are having rain & floods in summer so no idea what is going on with the seasons! i definitely would not be wearing flip flops in the snow though ;) ♥
I am such a flip-flop girl that I want to say that the winter will be short, but I have a bad feeling...I think it will be a long one. I HOPE THAT I AM WRONG!!! Spring in February!!! Yeyyyy!!!
praying for a short one, miss koralee. the snow is falling heavily here today, a bit of a 'white out'. i'm thinking i might need to visit the white powder sugar beaches in florida for spring break.
Too funny... now you AND my Grandson have made me Smile today! He gave me a profound solution to my Auction loss... and I had to wonder, now why didn't I think of that??! Children's wisdom is something I just love, they still believe everything and anything is possible... so tomorrow's Post is going to be very upbeat as I contemplate his suggestion... May your Winter be just long enough to enjoy and short enough to usher in an early Spring...
Hahaha, I have flip flops outside as well! But mine are still completely buried under the snow... I still predict it will be a short winter. 2011 will be full of sunshine, I'm sure of it. If not literal, then in the metaphorical way. xoxo
Dearest sweet koralee, i hope it's gonna be a short winter for you! Keep warm and sending you lots of love! Have a lovely merry happy week sweet friend!
OH! Only you, only you my dear blue bird could take a slipper and make it an ICON for this interval between two lovely seasons....I PREDICT it will be a long winter....but this photo says, HOPE all over it!!!
You truly are an inspiration and a fine photographer, indeed my dearest.
I have to just say what a beautiful blog you have. I loved the cute photo's with the meaningfull and thought provoking words, and also the little bit of humour that is attached through the pictures, light and warm its all good for the soul. Your picture of the flip flop in the snow made me smile because it so could have been me ;-)) Dee
HaHa! Winter is always TOO LONG!! I miss my flip flops already!! I have been known to wear them out in the snow but I am trying to make better fashion decisions based on the weather as I get a little older. :) older and maybe just a little tiny bit wiser. :) BLESSINGS! HAPPY SNOW DAY!!

Ha!! I'd love to say short...but Punxsutawney Phil-ip flop might be saying otherwise.
Great idea...should become a yearly event.

I think someone is going to have cold feet. With or without their flip flop.
I'm feeling optimistic today...so I'll say a short one! :0)

From the looks of things outside my window here in the supposedly sunny south, I'd say the forecast is going to be loooooooong!!

Please can it be short? The days are just too dark in winter!
Just the fact that you found a flip-flop and it's pink too boot... I'm going with short. Great idea, Great fun, Great capture.
I'm praying for short, however, I don't think that's the way it is going to go :(
LOL, Koralee....this is a great photo!
Since I'm looking at 7 fresh inches of snow right now and it doesn't seem to want to end I'm praying it's a short winter!
I'm sharing some retro pinafore aprons if you'd like to take a peek.
Happy Day,
Stephanie ♥
