It has to be done, but man, do I despise them. The dishes don't bother me too much and my husband and I have a deal: whomever cooks does not have to do the dishes. It works pretty well as we both like to cook and neither of us minds the dishes too much.

Mopping floors... at my Season of life it's downright painful... needless to say, I can live with a dirty floor much longer than when I was younger... as a matter of fact, the older I get the less important a spotless house is to me, I'd rather be out enjoying Life! *wink* I retired from the Corporate World about 4 years ago... now I no longer have to GO to work, I just wake up and it's all around me! *smiles*
Vacuuming!!! But...I haven't done it in YEARS!! It's on my husband's chore list!! I will "dust-bust" the occasional crumbs, but I never vacuum!! :) He, however, hasn't washed a dish in about a decade!! :) Happy Tuesday! I am snowed in with my darling niece today. :)

How did you know I had a stack of dirty dishes from last nights veggie chili?? I got so sleepy I decided to pass them up for bed instead. Thankfully the husband did a good rinse job so it won't be as bad when I finally get around to it!
Hi Koralee! I had a snow day today :o) Loved, loved, loved my long morning in my pajamas... but Chris and I spent the afternoon in our yucky basement! The chore I dread ~ cleaning the basement. We still have a long way to go - one box at a time, I say!
Such sweet dishes, Koralee ~ I love the springtime colors ~ they instantly bring calm. I think yellow is a happy color :)
For me it's the bathroom! Yikes it is a constant and daily challenge with kids! I love doing dishes...it's therapy to me....I absolutely refuse to own a dishwasher contraption and have my simple pleasure taken away from me! lol

My most unfavorite household chore is dusting! Hate it hate it. I make it easier by going with the theory it's just as easy to dust 5 inches of dust as it is 1 inch. It seems to work for me! :)

GOOD MORNING PRECIOUS ONE!!! OH I hope you see my message as I wonder if you will have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY post of somekind! Hmmmmmmm....let me see, what household task do I DESPISE? DISHES as well!!! AND IRONING, but shhhhhhh.....I haven't ironed a thing for about 30 years!!!! Neither has Ruben! So.....you should see the shirt he is wearing at the moment for painting. It is NOT covered in paint for he is as neat as a pin. IT IS WRINKLED however, because his wife refuses to iron! And he, well....he hasn't picked up an iron in more than 30 years!!!!
OH KORALEE...our project is looking so good HOWEVER....the main room still needs to be primed. It has vaulted ceilings and Ruben is doing all the painting. I am back at school having had a 4 day weekend, but I was unable to really help him out. Once all the painting is done, then we can enjoy the electricity but for now, the electricity in the new part of the house is off. SOOOOOO....I was thinking of showing some IN PROGRESS pictures, but I need to find a way to pretty them up! I am not the photographer like you!
Well, it is off to school soon. This week is all standardized testing. THEN, next week is preparing report cards! BUT SPRING IS AROUND THE CORNER FOR US and then SPRING BREAK in March for me!
