That is so amazing.Of course I'm hungry now.Again...
Hope you have a blessed week!

That looks so much fun! I have visions of my blob bursting out of the cake and looking like a valentine gone wrong in a horror movie kind of way. I don't think I'm up to the challenge though, as awesome as that would be. My husband is so not a fan of sweet cakes... *sigh*
O I would love to join but I still haven't made those macarons I once promised to make and still want to make. So, let's say, we'll see... If I do make the cake, I'll let you know and post about it, no matter how it turns out... Still have to find foodcolouring first too, ha!
Bye,
Marian
WOW, such a pretty heart cake! I don't think i'm talented enough as a baker though to make it. Looks like there could be a lot of coconut in it ... Ah, i caught a BAD flew and am in bed Koralee! This hasn't happened to me in ages! Happy tuesday, sweet friend!
Such a clever idea! I do love to bake, but I never seem to have the patience for cakes. Perhaps I'll give this one a go . . .

Oh dear, dear dear dear that thing scares me to death! I'm not sure, it's hard with you begging and all, I'll go take a look at how it's done and ponder...
Hi Koralee, I wanted to let you know that I made your Saltine Caramels. My fam loved them! I posted the recipe and my version on my blog today and linked back to you... thanks for the delish recipe! malia

Koralee, I need to read the direction to see how this is even done! If I do it, I shall have a pink heart though!
Have a pretty day!

That is just amazing, wow. I would love to try!!
oh man-don't think i would be successful at that but it looks so delicious :)
What a beauty! Attempting to make this cake is definitely not a cake for beginners but sure is pretty to look at. Almost too pretty to eat (almost).
Hi Koralee,
This cake looks beautiful, but seriously difficult!!! I really don't know if I am good enough to make something that looks so special and delicious!
Happy day!
Lieve groet, Madelief
That cake is absolutely adorable and I am definitely going to give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration!!
~Trisha
Love it, but not sure I am up for the challenge. I will have to give it some thought. Have a great heart filled day.
So adorable, Koralee! I made a Valentine's challenge too, but not a cake. It'll be a surprise.
Going to copy that lovely cake recipe right now.
Oh my, this is the sweetest sweetie. Perhaps I should just give it a try, just do it. Yes, we can, tee hee! I might join you in your lovely idea, Koralee. First I must be off to read a wee bit more about the making of this incredibly beauty. Will get back to you to let you know if I'm in.
Oh what, I AM in. But no laughing, promised? ^_^
Enjoy your Tuesday, my friend. Off I am to see what I just stepped into.. woo hoo xxxx
Oh my word! I cannot begin to explain how much I'm loving that! So clever!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! I am trying to maintain my weight loss...so I'm not baking much! lol This looks delicious though! ♥ Maybe I should make it just for hubby! ♥
This is amazing.......but i am not a good cook sorry for that........love Ria.....xxx....
love the cake, koralee. i don't know if i'm up to the baking challenge, however.

what a darling cake this is!!!! it looks like a bit of a challenge, but count me in! i will try to make it too! why not, right? it will still taste the same! xoxo
I don't think I'll be making it, because it looks just too good and I would eat it all. That would be a problem! But I can't wait to see yours and all those brave enough to make such a work of art. How fun!!!! Good idea, Koralee (you always come up with good ideas..how you do that?)
You know I'm up for anything crazy like this.
This is so cute, such a treat! :-)
how adorable!

elyse
mmm LOVELY!
If i can convince my guy to eat it we shall see. for i would like to try... look how "pretty" it is! :)
What a wonderful surprise!
xo, Mary
Isn't that gorgeous? The problem I have is that my husband doesn't really eat sweets much. He would eat one piece and that would be it...no kids at home anymore to finish it off! So, we know who would eat the rest of the cake...don't we? I can't wait to see yours!
ooohhh wow!! that looks amazing, I want to make one now!
i don't think it will turn out anywhere like that, maybe a bit blobby, but i'll definitely try it.
thanks for sharing Koralee, looking forward to seeing yours.
hugs to you sweet friend ♥
Nope - not going there (mainly because I know I'd have to EAT it and I don't need it!!).
Now THAT is cool! Totally gorgeous! I am too wimpy to try but I will love looking at everyones!!! (trust me...you don NOt want me to even attempt!)
Dearest sweet Koralee, this sounds like a wonderful and very fun challenge!! I wish i could bake, i would have join in. :) Can't wait to see who the challenge go! Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!

My Lovely,
I believe my heart cake would turn to pink marble cake... but I could frost it with white icing and put red sprinkles on top!!
xxx
Looks like fun! I'm in!
Hi Koralee!
What a crazy wild cake! with a surprise inside*
I found a Wilton pan that helps with making this kind of cake...
Here
and
Here
I'm looking for my coupons... Do you have Joann Fabrics in VC ?
Good luck on this cake! I'm looking into the cake pan and I've also been thinking of this pretty muffin pan that makes roses! I'll shop for this locally with my 20% off !
Did you have your staff day yet? I love it that your staff days are spiritual ~ this is so much more fruitful than a day of curriculum meetings.
I hope you're having a great week!
Many blessings to you dear ♥
xoxo
Maria
Boy oh boy, now I wish my husband can bake!!!!
SO PRETTYYY!!!!!
love it a lot .. and looks yummy too!!
Oh my - it looks so amazing Koralee. I will certainly need to study the tutorial though. It looks like gobbledy gook at first glance. But then a Valentine blob cake could be lovely so long as it tastes good!
How nice to catch up with your blog and all your happenings. It is all looking so pretty Koralee. The photos are stunning.
Amanda xx
Wow, thats amazing!
No way I could attempt such a thing, It would be so frustrating if it didnt work out. Goodluck, looking foward to seeing how you go with it :)

OH MY GOODNESS, now this is UP MY ALLEY! But I have NO TIME! I will be watching the results, however! Oh Koralee, you always come up with the best ideas!!!!!! I must at least look at the recipe to see how to achieve that heart!
Oh, whew, school is wild and so is homelife! The painting is still not done and it gets messier and messier here by the minute, so no heart cakes for me this year! HAVE SO MUCH FUN DEAREST ONE!!!! I WILL BE WATCHING! Anita

WOW, now that's a Valentine's Day cake! It looks so cute and yummy! Hello calories :)
You're so brave to try ths out, I can't even imagine how you get the red filling heart-shaped?!
Sorry, I surrender. But I'm curious about how your cake will turn out :)
Have a lovely Wednesday!
This is lovely Koralee...and yes...I'm definately up for the challenge...count me in.I think I might surprise my sweetheart with this special dessert for Valentine's...(but I'll have a back up plan in case it doesn't turn out...lol.)
Hearts and Cheers to you!!
Debbie xo
i'm going to check out the recipe, looks great! hugs to you!! susan
it looks a bit time consuming but i think i would love to try it. i'm not much of a cake decorator so mine may look a bit like a second grader did it!
Totally adorable -- and I really doubt I'm going there! Every year I make Rick a collaged (or something) poetry book for Valentine's Day. I've done pop-ups, reverse books, regular scrapbooks, handwritten... Wel, I have yet to start on the poetry, much less the book. I have a feeling my cooking time is going to be creating in a different way! Let me know how it comes out!
Oh, goodness, Koralee!!
I think this is beyond my expertise!!
I tried to make a Red Velvet Cake for my hubby's and my anniversary a few years ago. I got the recipe from my mom and she told me, "You know, you can make those cakes from a box now." "Oh, NO!" I told her, I would be making this very special cake from scratch!!!
I went to the market and got all the ingredients, and condensed buttermilk was called for in the recipe.
I got all the items and put them in the bowl, and mixed them up just as it said...then it told me to "pour" the batter into the cake pans. I thought to myself, "Pour? More like PUT!"
I didn't add the water that made the buttermilk butterMILK!!! HaHa!! So, the cake, made with such love, didn't end up really becoming cake at all!!
Haaaa!! My husband dutifully tried it, as he was in a generous, anniversary mood. :)
It was just AWFUL.
I would say that I've become a better baker since then but not really. I did learn my lesson though, now I just buy the kind in the BOX!!!! Add oil and eggs and we're good to go!!
Hope you are having a happy week!!! :) :) :) Blessings!! :)
I am so into Valentine's Day right now and this is just the most beautiful thing I've seen so far - so clever! I wish I could bake, I'd love to make it together with you!
Ummm cutest cake ever!! I would love to join you Koralee but my baking skills are at a minimum, I really don't think I could ever make such a pretty cake! Have a great rest of the week :)
Natasha xx
Maybe I'll try it....but I can guarantee my "red" would take any shape but a heart :)
I love all of the white up against that pretty RED heart! Very beautiful!
Koralee, I have a feeling your heart cake will turn out awesome!! :)
XOXO Gloria
oh my
i am so happy
you are going to give it
a try

:-)
i'd rather just be
invited over
to eat
it.

Adorable! And indeed count me in! i have seriously been craving cake and this is perfect! I'm going to make my center strawberry flavored(yes, cheating with a box mix for the center!)LOL Lori
This is waaay beyond me, but thankfully I have a friend who is an amazing baker and has agreed to make it and let me take photos. I can't wait!
Koralee ~
I've just spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how to do this....and without using normal red dye. Hmmmm? Now my wheels are really turning.
Hope you have a beautiful weekend!
Bisous,
Melissa
I'm game. It's a beautiful cake and looks like fun. I used to love to bake fantastic cakes from Chocolatier magazine, though lately the best I can do is to bake the birthday cakes for my two children.
I was the woman who made her first wedding cake for her own wedding. The only downside to this challenge for me is the reality that my 12-year-old daughter is gluten free and while she isn't Celiac intolerant, she gets migraines and severe stomach aches when she is exposed to even small amounts. So far the gluten-free baked goods we have tried have all been pretty terrible. Maybe I will start to search and experiment in an attempt to find a terrific cake I can make for her and we can all eat the gluten-not-free cake. Can't wait.
Too yummy !! I'm heading out tomorrow to get the ingredients and making this cake.... Now I'm curious if there are other shapes you can create in a cake.
