Lovely cup and lovely quote (from the wonder years no less!). Your grandma must have been a very sweet woman, who passed it on to a very sweet granddaughter like you.
I was out thrift shopping today and I saw a super romantic, delicate china cup. I instantly thought about you and how you could take the cutest photo of that cup with some yummies spilling over.
Hugs, lady Koralee.
That is the sweetest cup ... and a lovely, lovely photo. I have some of my Grandmother's things and I treasure each of them. And now I'm a grandma with a little granddaughter. I hope someday she will cherish some of my belongings.
Aw, such a sweet cup. Most of my teacups came from the grandmother I never got a chance to meet. My mother has filled me with her sweet memories of her mother though.
Enjoy your week dear friend :-)
How wonderful that you have your grandma's cup!! Cherish it! =)

I can see why it was her favourite. I also love the everyday dish idea for vintage china. xx
It's a really gorgeous cup! I love old vintage china like that :)
This post is really sweet, I love how the smallest things can hold so many beautiful memories.
How special to see your Grandma's Cup. This pattern was my mother's wedding china. I have the set now --- and cherish it.
Hi Koralee,
the cup belonging to your Grandma is very lovely and isn't it wonderful when you have something precious to always remind you of her.
Love the quote too.
Hope that you have a happy week

A precious treasure. Both the cup and the memories you have of her. I can see why your Granny liked it. I like cups with lovely flowers on the inside, so as one drinks, the design is revealed.
I love your granny cup! I also have a granny cup from my grandmother in Europe and like you it's also my favorite cup in the whole wide world!!
Have a great week!
Chris :o)

KORALEE! Oh, our snow did not last, but we were all at school screaming, NOOOOOOOOOO! But today is rain, so that is BETTER!!! OH PLEASE FLOWERS, COME OUT!!!! And yes dearest, what is up with our fatigue...OH! I KNOW! It is the end of the school year! The children are WILD and they are soooo darling, but LOUD and they just want to chatter and tell me about every thing in their lives, and I just can't listen to 50 chirping voices! So I too am coming home to eat and SLEEP ONLY! And this darn hip of mine; it was really killing me last night. I HAVE TO GET ON THE HORN TODAY and make that appointment. I must get to the bottom of this! I HOPE YOU ARE WELL and let us count down to summer bliss and REST!!!! I need a new set of hips!!!
MUCH LOVE TO YOU PRECIOUS ONE and that cup is DARLING! Anita
Lovely post, Koralee, wish your blog wasn't so sweet though, lol. Now I'm going to have to try and forget all the yumminess that I've seen here :o)
Blessings
Hugs
Such a pretty cup, and lovely that it reminds you of your grandmother. I've been reminded of mine this week, by having some pink carnations or 'pinks' around me....the scent takes me right back to childhood and my grandmother's house.
Have a happy week.

Hello Koralee hold the memory with your beautiful cup!x
Oh, what a darling tea cup. Having thing that are passed down from dear ones are the best treasures we own. They are so linked to sweet memories! I am blessed to have many things from my Nani. NOt one is is valuable in the sense of an heirloom, but they are all priceless to me!
What a sweet post, Koralee!

What a beautiful post! I've been thinking so much about the spot for memories in our hearts lately... back and forth from making you close your eyes and smile, and then making you weep your little eyes out.. But precious each and every one nonetheless... hope you're having a gorgeous week xoxox
Its amazing that some things we own we wouldnt give up or sell for anything in the world!
I have a dinner set my grandma gave me about 3 years ago, she was SO happy to give it to me, now she lives in a high care dementia ward. I know that this dinner set will always be special to me.

Ah the cup is grand but holy moly that biscuit has me drooling at my desk, not a great look for the office, seriously!
I have many happy memories of my grandmother too . I'm called after her Francina Adriana !
From now I visualise there will be some-one taking care of the lost package somewhere on its way . Some-one will help and take care it can find its way to me .
I am very excited and all will be well , has to be ......
Thank you for reminding me of my grandmother !
Wish you lots of beautiful memories .

My grandma had those cups too!! I remember her serving sandwiches on the plates that went along with it.
I'm a granny..lol. I sure don't feel like there's a tea-cup out there that represents me! But that treat your tea-cup is resting on could be me! I alwways love your photos and quotes. Thanks for the frequent lifts!

Sweet picture! I have granny cupe too! My grandma was my best friend, and i miss her a lot! Have a sweet day Koralee!
Hi Koralee!
Your grandmother's teacups remind me of my own nonni's teacups {nonni ~ Italian for g'mother}
I used to help her empty her china closet, wash all her china and place it carefully back. I loved having tea with her... We would have saltines with butter and jelly for our tea treat. I had tea with her almost every day.
Oh what memories you've inspired today!
... They are the simple pleasures of life ...
and as Robert Brault wrote, "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
Have a sweet and simple day!

It's great to have memories all around us!
My grandfather gave me something very very special that belonged to his father. He is still a live my grandfather but he wanted me to have it already so he gave it at my wedding. So he was sure I got it when he's not there any more.
Sweet dreams

This is beautiful and so very true. Well I know where you get your sweet tooth + your sweetness from my friend :) Your grandma must have been one special lady!

Dear Koralee,
I do love that precious cup! I am sure I have at least one just like it that I picked up at the thrift shop. I have a soft spot, as you know, for pink roses! I often wonder when I bring home my treasures who they belonged to. Right now they are packed away waiting for me to paint the hutch I removed them from!
Oh, the end of this school year can't come fast enough! I am feeling overwhelmed and need time to catch up on about a billion things! I'm loving the seven darling ducks that hatched earlier this week at school, but they add another dynamic to an already busy class and every student in the school wants to come and hold them so I find myself saying, "Lord, give my strength," more often than ever! Thankfully He answers my prayers and I carry on! I often find myself wishing that I could sit and catch up with you, have a cup of coffee/tea and show you a few pictures, share a few stories...
Just know I find your blog a sweet refreshment and a daily source of joy even when I am unable to comment.
Many blessings!
What a sweet little
cup....And a dear
reminder of your gran.
Funny how small things
can hold such big memories!
xx Suzanne

Oh Dear....I just left you this HUGE comment and it got eaten UP!!!! Anita
O.K., there goes....Oh dearest, I am thrilled to know that YOU had a great day yesterday and that you are going to have an MRI to get to the bottom of this!!!!!! CHOCOLATE helps too, doesn't it??? I am eating a bit of it right now in my cereal and yogurt with RASPBERRIES!!!! YES! Cocoa powder actually!
I am going in on MONDAY, FINALLY to see the doc about these daily hip joint pains. IT IS NOT A BAD PAIN, and I actually feel better when I exercise. I did my lunges and squats in my home gym yesterday and NO PAIN...but when I sit it is there....WE SHALL SEE!
My dearest, thank you for your friendship and support; you Canadian friends are SUPER!!!
MUCH LOVE ET GROSSES BISES, Anita
How lovely!
I love memories! That cup is so precious!

take Care ......Colleen
It's dear, Koralee. I know how much you must treasure it.
Your grandma must have been very special! Mine lived to age 90 and was a big influence on me. Thanks for sharing your treasured memories with us.
Love your precious granny cup! (and the treat underneath it!) Have a wonderful day!
Dear Koralee,
Oh, that cup is my favorite too (and I don't even own it)!!! I am so glad you have this precious teacup to remember your sweet grandma by. My grandma (my dad's mom) told me every time she talked to me (in her later years) that she was going to pass down all of the things in her small china cabinet to me. She said, "Because you are the one I know who would appreciate and take care of these like I did." That was such a sweet compliment to me. Mainly because I felt these were the nearest and dearest things to her heart (out of the earthly things she owned). A bit of grandma love to remember her by.
I love that quote...it goes perfect with your lovely cup!
Thanks for stopping by my blog to update me about your back progress. I am continuing to pray for your full recovery, sweet friend. Sorry it is giving you such problems.
I hope your Mother's Day is full of beautiful memories that you will always remember!
xoxo...Gloria

Well, I just love your grandma...and her impeccable taste! My sisters and I got our love/obsession with vintage china from our great grandma...tough-as-nails-WWII-Rosie-the-Riveter...with a weakness for pink and pretty teacups! ;}
m ^..^
What a beautiful little tea cup Koralee, how special that it was your grandmas. I love your saying about memories.
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mothers Day sweet friend. :)
XO
Ahhh, how did I miss this sweet post? You are so lucky to have such lovely memories of your grandmother. Unfortunately, I don't have any memories of mine. But, I do have wonderful memories of my two aunts. I spent lots of time with them when I was little.
And, hello! That s'more bar.....oh my goodness. Yep, I've got the sweet tooth too. I always envy those who could care less about sweets. I can barely control myself on a daily basis.
xo,
Sena
My heart is full of memories today. My first Mother's Day without my mom is bittersweet...but thankfully, the memory cup is very full.
I have a couple of my grandma's
teacups. They make me smile. ;)
Such a sweet photo!
