Good morning, Koralee!
Our first apartment was next to a field of wild blackberries. Cereal was topped every day with them and I made homemade jam. To a young couple just starting out, having this field of free fruit was our manna from Heaven!
Your photos are beautiful as always, Koralee!
~have a berry sweet day~

Meanwhile...mix:
1 cup sugar

1 cup milk
2 tsp. baking powder
When butter is melted take dish out of oven and pour it in.
Then, add 4 cups of sugared berries; any kind or mix.
Bake for 40 minutes till brown and bubbly.

Super E-Z & delish!
Happy Picking!

I had to come back for a snack of berries! Have you ever had BOYSENBERRYS????? We used to get them in California at KNOTTS BERRY FARM! Did you go there on your trip to L.A.? Their flavor is so unlike other berries and will forever remind me of my childhood.

HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A FUN DAY...squeeze out all you can! BISES, Anita

I have a recipe for berry pie posted on my blog. This is a MUST for berries. I have berry vines in my yard and freeze some of them so I can make pie any time of the year.

Yes M'am! I just used blueberries from British Columbia to make Blueberry Lemon Bars...goodness, they are delicious. I almost didn't have enough for my recipe, because I couldn't stop popping them in my mouth! You're a Berry Lucky Lady to live right in the heart of berry land :)

I have two ideas. First, I have to say how lucky you are to live in The Berry capital of Capital.
How about a yummy berry smoothie. My sweetie pie makes it with blueberries, low fat vanilla yogurt and spinach. Really tasty.
And how about muffins. Blackberry or Blueberry muffin is delicious.

My favorite way to eat berries is just plain. A big bowl, a big spoon and all that natural juicy goodness.

You have brought back childhood memories, Koralee. When I was little I'd go out while the grass was still dewy to pick blackberries to put on my cereal for breakfast. They were so yummy, and I loved the way they turned the milk blue!
Blessings!

Picking berries is a wonderful summertime pleasure. My kids get to do it when we head to Michigan in the summer but we didn't go there this year. :/ My oldest loves raspberries, but I love any kinda berries. We can only get the frozen variety here which is better than nothing. When the grocery store brings in fresh blueberrie, they are from Holland and cost about 10 USD for a tiny little container. Yikes! I'll stick with those from the freezer section. :) Hope your day is great. Best wishes, Tammy

Love, love the berries in the Pacific Northwest. I make sorbet alot during berry season. I usually make it with marionberries, but blackberries would be good too. Then I freeze them for sorbet, pie, and cobblers in the winter.
