{is it just me?}

Is is just me
 or
is Christmas coming way too fast this year?
I just want to slow these days down so I can cherish every single moment
or better yet
I want to slow down my whole life
Is that possible?
If so please let me know how
~
What is life?
It is a flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunlight.
{Cowfoot, Native American Orator}
Just for today.......
remember life is here and now...... don't miss it

Oh precious one, THIS IS WHY I TOOK TODAY OFF! YES! I am trying to look into the eyes of my sweet children, teaching them to read, to think, to laugh and to focus. But meetings, RTI (uuuugh) and other things that sap our energy don't let us live. But what are we to do? I AM WITH YA...if anyone gives the answer, LET ME KNOW!! All I can say is that today was a beautiful day. It was totally quiet, no running, nothing. Just blogging. And dreaming. Ahhh.....

But tomorrow is Friday and it is school. But at least it is Friday, so:

I WILL CHOOSE JOY.

LOVE TO YOU SWEET ONE! Anita

Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this today, it really hits the spot. I just recently went back to work full-time and feel like time is moving too fast. I want to spend as much of the day as possible with my Little One and my husband. I make the most of every hour we DO have together and live life to the fullest each day. Life is definitely here and now, to live well! xox

So true!! I just finished packing all of my boxes that have to get mailed to other states - yay! I actually enjoyed doing all of it and getting the girls involved - but of course it always seems I can only let myself relax as things get checked off the list.
Thanks for the reminder. xoxo Ashlyn

Amen. I'm digging myself out to. And throw an 80th b-day on top to ice the cake with. Just remember to breathe...at least that's what I'm telling myself.

I definitely feel Christmas approaching too fast...I want to live in every moment. I have to say that this has been a stress free holiday so far. That helps. I feel the spirit more!

Happy Holidays, Koralee!

I keep saying the same thing. I am starting to list the things I won't get done this year! I swear it used to take longer to get from Thanksgiving to Christmas!

It's not you! I have found that the older I get, the faster life passes by...I can't imagine how fast the days pass for my 84 year old grandfather! Hope you are having a happy holiday season whether you are ready or not!!

It really DOES seem to be flying by quickly this year! My oldest daughter comes home on Saturday for three weeks, and I'm hoping beyond hope that it just c r e e p s by...that would be the best Christmas gift I could ever get!

Here's hoping it slows down for both of us, dear friend!

No kidding. Christmas is only a couple weeks away.

Indeed, it is all flying by so fast! Had hoped to have been completed all my Christmas shopping by now, yikes! Happy Friday!

Kathleen Grace said...

It's not just you. I haven't even done my shopping yet. Nothing! Nada! The tree isn't even up. However, I do have some lights and greens and a few decorations and candles out. I light the candles and grab some coffee and plan to catch up this weekend so I can relax a little til Christmas comes:>) Hope your December (and mine!) slows down.

How cool...believe it or not, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Early American Indian History.
I Have a book...with Indian quotes, sayings, stories...and THIS ONE IS IN IT!!!!!!
Yes, Life slips by so quickly.
seems trite, but true, and the older we get, the more we Recognize it.
Cherish every moment now....before that firefly soars away, the buffaloes breath has been carried away in the breeze, and the shadows slip from us.
love it

Merry Christmas to you. I'll check in with you the end of December sometime. Headed to Utah on the 14th to be with family.
