I am head over heels

this lovely new cookbook
that came to my door the other day
we have been baking from it all weekend long
first up were these amazing
oatmeal coconut cookies
really without a lie these are the best cookies I have ever made
and that is saying something because I have made millions
of cookies in my lifetime
{the cookie dough is to die for...i am surprised we had any left to make the cookies}
next we moved onto the
banana-chocolate chip cupcakes
with
chocolate cream cheese frosting
wowy...wow ...wow...is all I can say to that
the
bourbon bread pudding
is next our list
this is my new favourite cookbook
and the images are just darling
and so are cheryl and griffith the owners
of
The back in the day bakery in Savannah, Georgia
pop over here to see the book trailer....soooooo adorable
{so much for my non-sugar month...we will see if I can be good for the rest of the week...really you say...I can just hear you all now}
{hugadoodles to you all}
I am now officially on spring break for 2 whole weeks

GOOD MONDAY DEAREST FRIEND!
OK, This is a book that I must check out for BACK IN THE DAY when my momma baked, the confections were the best. REAL BUTTER, NOTHING BUT sugar, good flour and other pure ingredients were used. I remember coming home from school from time to time, finding a devil's food cake sitting there with REAL BUTTERCREAM FROSTING...and then the savory recipes from these old Betty Crocker recipe cards she had...oh dear, the memories are probably the sweetest thing of all...hmmmm....blog post in the making here! ENJOY !!! Anita
You make my yammie day...love Ria...xxx...
Okay, lovely lady, you have two whole weeks to bake cookies, get inspired and finish YOUR BOOK! Wow, what awesome things to look out to. Blowing a kiss across the seven seas xoxoxoxo

What a wonderful title for a cookery book Koralee.
....and, if I had been at your house when you were making them, there wouldn't have been any cookie dough to bake, as I would have eaten it all !! Cookie dough is my weakness....I love it !

Well, with a recommendation like that I'm going to have to check that book out. Your cookies look delicious!

I am probably the worlds most terrible baker. BUT, I may just have to get myself this book anyway - just to drool over the pretty pictures! :-)

BTW, can't wait for your book to come out. A big congratulations to you...I hope it is packed full of your lovely photos too. Hmmm I really tea to have an afternoon tea now. Thanks for sharing your marvelous finds!

My mouth is watering over your photos of these delicious cookies! I love cookies and baking them. That is my weakness,,,homemade cookies, well...ONE of my sweet weaknesses. I saw a little article in one of the, Where Women Cook issues, about this bakery. Our middle daughter lives in Georgia. Not in Savannah,,,but within a days driving distance from there. I would love to go visit that Bakery. It looked SOOOO cute! I was very smitten with the photos of it. I KNOW I would LOVE this cookbook. Thanks for sharing!
Happy Happy dancing to you!! Enjoy!
xoxo...Gloria
Hi Koralee!
Oh my... I just noticed that I commented again last night, without checking to see if Chris was still signed in. When I'm on my old laptop or my little iPod, I don't have to check... but if I'm on our desktop, I need to check to see who's signed in.
Koralee, I read Matthew 6:25-34 last night and will read it each night Sydney's away, keeping her in prayer. I know she will be God's hands and feet helping others to know His heart ♥
God bless you and your beautiful family, Koralee ~
Wishing you some spring weather to go along with your break too!

Hooray for spring break and cookies! That first one makes me want oatmeal cookies. I have a family recipe that is also to die for. Love the old recipes, but certainly are not the healthiest. Oh well!
Hi, Koralee, sweet friend,
"Back in the day" recipes are always the best, aren't they? Those cookies look absolutely delicious. I think I can almost taste them from here in Texas! Wow, two weeks off, fantastic!! Replenish your spirit each day~ Blessings always~ Vicki
This looks like a fabulous cookbook! Thanks for sharing it! Sounds and looks like there are so yummy recipes! xo Heather
Enjoy your much deserved break. Gonna have to get me this cookbook. And SOON! Looks soooo good.
This post is making me seriously hungry now :P The cookbook and the recipes sound great! I am liking the sound of the chocolate cream cheese frosting (cream cheese frosting is my fav!).
Have a great spring break :)
Magie
Oh now I love the look of that book
I am a cook book addict the prettier the better, I can not wait to get yours!
Best wishes
Denise
Oh yum! They all sound delicious! Congrats on your own book deal. I know it is gonna be fantastic! Best wishes, Tammy
Enjoy your spring break! Oh my those recipes all sound so mouth watering. I will definitely check out that book!
I want to know how you bake so many wonderful things and still stay so slim and trim? I love to bake, but I don't do it nearly like I used to because after many years of eating what I want...in my middle age it is so easy to gain weight. I miss the baking process as much (well almost as much) as the finished product! The cookies look wonderful.
Have a fun spring break!
well, I have not seen this cookbook and I bet it is adorable...but I DO HAVE a delish coconut, oatmeal choc chip cookie recipe. One of those handed down in the family.
the cupcakes wow, they sound wonderful. Cupcakes are kind of the new rage right now aren't they.
happy spring !!
