a colourful easter

*

my daughter Ali and I made Paska
this was our first attempt at  making this
traditional Mennonite Easter bread
{we decide to make it in bun form}
they were light and fluffy and out of this world
I highly recommend you give it a go
even though Easter is over
they could be your Spring buns!
recipe here

Make it a good week .........April is moving along at a rapid pace

YOU MADE IT AFTER ALL!!!!!! Oh dear one, and it was GOOD???? Look at your photos! WOOOO! and you too had a food fest? WE DID TOO! I even had a slight belly ache yesterday!

We took a GREAT walk in the morning and I ran out to see the sunrise to PRAISE HIM then we drove out to a local lake and walked around, talked a good talk then came home and we just got creative. I hope you did get a chance to see my new show creation. I tried my best to take photos of it!

OK, now off to school....it feels funny to get back after a week of TOTAL QUIET!

BE HAPPY AND FABULOUS MY FRIEND! Anita

What a fabulous treat to pop by after a day at the beach and catch up on all you have been snapping away at. As always, you have made my afternoon. Home Sunday and hopefully back at it again soon. Hope all is well your way. Sending you some sun from the beach.

You are sure right about April flying by!!! I can't even believe how fast it was!

I do love that Easter is so colorful! Your colors are so bright and cheery!!! I bet you had fun cooking with Ali! I love that about Holidays...all the women in the kitchen!

Hi Koralee!
Your paska looks so pretty with springtime sprinkles!
Mennonite Girls Can Cook is a wonderful website! Amanda and I check on recipes there quite often! The women who contributed to that book are amazing cooks and bakers.
I smiled when I read Lovella's comment about "poufy" yeast :o)
I didn't know that paska had so much citrus in it. I LOVE that idea!
I make Betty Crocker's Swedish Tea Ring all the time. The only big change in the recipe is the added citrus. It must have been sooo fragrant when you were mixing it!

This must have made quite a few paskas! How many did you get out of this recipe?
I'm glad you had a wonderful Easter! Thank you for the tip to visit the Mennonite Girls!
With much Joy and Blessings, always dear ♥
