I love your photos!
I love canned cherries .. especially in pie ..... mmmmmm ♥
In Alaska I had a very healthy supply of canned salmon...... boo hoo... not anymore.. I would like to start canning again, however.. lately I have been delving into homesteading basics .. although I am in more of a neighborhood than the country right at the moment .. I can still be so in spirit -- it is good for the soul! ♥♥
Oh, these look so pretty, and delicious!! Do you make cherry pies or any special treat with them? xo Heather
Oooh, so pretty! I do some canning in the summer, but actually it's more just jams than anything else. I'll pick the fruit at a local farm, then make lots of jam jars. Same in the fall with the fruit available then. I should look into canning as well, especially seeing how pretty they are.
And as for the quote, cooking seems to fit the bill perfectly doesn't it? The love you pour into it makes whatever you cook/bake that much better. Of course the same can be said for many other things, but cooking is the first one that comes to mind.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! Xoxo
Ooooh beautiful picture! I love it. I wish I knew how to can, but I don't. I've always wanted to learn though. I love sweet pickles, so I'd make tons of them! Happy day to you! xo
OH such sweet yummy treats...I need to do way more canning! Especially if the outcome is the pretty!
Thanks for dropping by & leaving your sweet comment!..Yes there is a lot of pink to be seen soon!
Yes I like canning, but here in New Zealand we call it preserving... do you?
Ciao

Mother Teresa was teaching that love is all!
Have a nice day darling....with love Ria....xxx...
True words. Pretty too! How I love Mother Teresa...
<3
We LO♥E a bit of canning round these parts! we're more of a pickle maker than a fruit canning type, but there's nothing nicer than something you've captured yourself.
Happy mid week

(i think you asked me what kind of books Cleggy was writing? all education resourse types (mainly under 7's) so sadly, nothing with future film right opportunities!!!)
Those canned cherries look yummy! I have never tried canning before, I know my Mother use to can quite a lot of things (her own pickles, pears etc)..they came in handy during the winter time in Alberta.
Have a lovely day today :)

Yes please Koralee !! You don't even have to ask....anything that you produce always looks delicious and your photographs are wonderful. XXXX
Oh now this is truly a beautiful PHOTO Koralee.....you take ANY COLOR, ANY COLOR and make me want it as my favorite hue. This CHERRY color is divine.
Well, you are talking to a CITY WOMAN HERE. Never have I canned, never did my MOTHER can anything because we are city folk! But what a delightful idea and what pleasure it has to bring. We are just too used to buying everything in the store! But whatever our styles, our upbringing.....LOVE is everywhere and this is a good reminder to me that will help me carry on for the day. LOve to you my dear Koralee. Anita
I love cherries, they are so delicious and pretty! Enjoy your day! :-)
Yes please! Those cherries look gorgeous.
Have a sweet day! x
such a pretty picture!
we don't now, but we did a little when i was a kid. i'm always tempted to start again -maybe this summer?
Sweet cherries . . . they sound yummy. We have many orchards nearby. I remember canning cherries many years ago. Removing the pits can be tedious although the results are worth it. I freeze blueberries each year and purchase freshly picked from a local orchard. The only canning I do now is pickles for my pickle lover grandsons. My daughter and I do it together and use an old family recipe using grape leaves. I am fortunate to live near orchards of apple, peach, cherry, blueberry and the best asparagus ever . . . to name just a few of the local fruits of the land.
I've never canned. They sound delicious. "Love" the quote :)
Yes please...they look divine, mouth watering!
Hello my darling Koralee! Oh, these look so pretty and yummy! I have never canned before, but you certainly inspire me to try it! The cherries do look like pretty jewels! I love the quote you shared! That is beautiful! I am so glad you had the best weekend with your daughter's Swedish friend and have a few more days to enjoy with her! I hope your cupboard cleaning has been going well. I know the box for the thrift store will be a blessing to others! Thank you for your sweet visits and kind words! Purple coneflower is very easy to grow from seed! This autumn when I collect the seeds I will be happy to send you some from my garden! :) I hope your day is as beautiful as your are dear heart! Much love, xo~Paula
These cherries look so delicious, and how lovely to capture summer like this. Love the sweet quote too.
Wishing you a happy day, Koralee!

What a beautiful quote, Koralee! I've never done any canning but would really like to learn how. But first I have to learn how to grow things to can:) Beautiful phot! Hope your week is going well!

your delicious jewels are truly adorable! i have never canned - i think that must be a sin, right? i need to find a friend who does, and jump on her band wagon! (i have never claimed to be domestic in the kitchen.) xoxox
Hello there....Here I am again...One more beutiful and inspired picture with an amazing quote...! I agree...
Hi Koralee,
What a pretty bunch of pictures I have missed this last week (due to being gone on vacation), it is great to catch up and view them. Your cherries look SOOOOOO GOOOD! :)
I love that Mother Teresa quote. It is so true! :)
I have not ever canned anything. My mom and dad use to do some canning. I believe they still try to. I really should give it a try! I want to learn to make jam too, that would be fun!
I hope you are having a beautiful day!
xoxo...Gloria
So Beautiful and Bright!
Do you remember the poem...
All things bright and beautiful All things great and small
All things wise and wonderful
The Lord God made them all.
This was the first poem I ever memorized as a child, because it was and still is my favorite. And you my sweet friend I must share with you ALWAYS remind me of these words:)
XO
Hi Koralee!
My grandmother canned. She canned so many things. I think my favorite were her canned pears. Oh so sweet ♥ as was she!
We only had a small piece of land in a little central NY town {maybe, maybe a quarter acre, she lived next door} but she found a way to make us feel like we lived on a farm!
Oh how she loved fresh produce. I will always remember my grandmother's influence on how I adore baking, real handkerchiefs, pretty teacups and adding milk to my tea ~
Chris and I started gathering canning supplies last fall... maybe we'll get to do some canning this year!
Blessings to you always, Koralee!
Wishing you smooth sailing through the rest of the week ~ enjoying each moment along the way!

I sure don't, but I grew up around an aunt who did a lot. She still makes picante sauce and cans tomatoes, okra, and beans every year. There's nothing like the taste, so much better than canned! I've never had canned cherries, but your photo sure makes me want to try some!
I love that quote. So true..
These cherries look delicious. I can't wait until the weather warms up here and I can buy local berries.
Love to you sweet Koalee xx
So pretty! I don't can myself... but my mom and grandma do and I help when I can! :)
My mom canned cherries.. I didn't get that gene. I do make raspberry freezer jam, though! Yum!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Love that quote! I have some canned pears, but i freeze so many bags of berries when they come in season! A lot of work but so worth it!
Hi Koralee,
You home canned cherries are so pretty.
My Mother used to do a lot of preserving, I must do some myself one day. The quote, is so true.
Hope that you are having a happy week
Hugs
Carolyn
Jewels for sure Koralee. I love that quote!!
I used to can about 40 quarts of cherries a summer because my husband inhaled them : ) Now I don't can any more..actually, I don't do a lot of things that I did when the children were growing up. I think I'm on a permanent vacation!
sending hugs...
Yummy, what a lovely idea and beautiful quote. Hugs, B xxx

Your jar of cherries is just beautiful. When my children were small I canned every year. I haven't done as much in the past years, but for some reason I think I would like to do that this year again. Some special treats, some special chutneys and jams.
