flour always makes me happy
especially when I bake my
"hedgie hogies"
{a name I just recently made up for these yummy cookies fashioned by me.......
though I am sure somewhere someone has designed similar ones
but I kinda like to think I was the first....seeing I have been
making them for years......though rolling them in toasted sunflower seeds
is my new idea........hence the name ...
they remind me of hedgehogs for some reason}
here is my secret recipe......shhhhhhh don't tell anyone
{only if you must}
{toast sunflower seeds on a cookie sheet}
{I always add more cinnamon and lots of vanilla}
{I always add more cinnamon and lots of vanilla}
as promised..... ending with a flower
happy new week dear friends

Mmmmmm....as I sit here on this chillier than normal day with a cup of tea, your cookies here are a great side-kick for this glorious fall day!
MY DEAR, IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU! And working half time DOES give you more responsibilities I would imagine, having to be sure you are ready for the next day! I so hope you are enjoying the beginning of the school year; I was called again by a dear former colleague who needs a French speaking sub in October, but I still have not received my sub ID number and I can't work without that. THAT IS OK with me for now!
I miss you, just knowing that you are furiously working away at a schedule that I suspect is full.
LOVE TO YOU DEAREST and thank you for coming to visit! Anita
Koralee! I think I gained a pound just looking at them. . OH do they look good!
Thank you so much for your visit and you words of praise! You are too kind...
Have a wonderful day,
fondly,
Penny
Happy Week to you too, Koralee!
Even though it's Wednesday afternoon and I'm writing you from my desk at school...
I'm about to make a cuppa tea to sip while I clean off my desk from a busy day!
This year I have almost 120 sixth graders for developmental reading {just under 30 in each class} and two smaller {12 students each} academic intervention groups. These are students who did not pass the New York State English Language Arts exam.
It's been super busy ~ especially with all of the new paperwork!
I will write you a little note tonight on facebook :o)
Your cookies look so yummy, Koralee! I wish I could have one or two or three with my tea ♥
as always, God's sweetest blessings to you and your family*
~ Maria
