Both the Anne Frank and the Frank Zappa quotes are brilliant. Open minds and open hands, we need more of both. Lots of hugs to you on this Wednesday. xoxo

I last read Anne Frank as a teenager...and I still remember how it touched me. So many people I meet tell me they don't read...for our family, it is like breathing.

You're quoting Frank Zappa to your class? I love it. (They probably have no idea who he is.)
Anyway...reading. I just finished American Dervish and am now in the middle of Without Conscience, which is one scary book, but I can't put it down.

I'm re-reading the Mitford series by Jan Karon. This must be my 5th or 6th reading. Love it.

Nice quote and good up to a point, after that it can become "she was so open minded her brains fell out." LOL, hope you don't mind me posting that.

True indeed! At the moment I am not really reading a novel, but enjoying looking through two new cook books (with gorgeous photography) and my new knitting book arrived in the mail the other day, so it has been popular too! :-)

I have been studying my Bible, I keep messing up in life and figure the Bible is the only thing that need right now. Plus I would like to get your ice cream book, yes a good cookbook and my Bible, that's it!

Wise words adorably displayed, Koralee--and oh, so true!

My new favorite book arrived yesterday {finally!} My daughters and I took turns oohing and aahing over each & every delicious page...filled with so much JOY! Each and every photo is so very YOU, dear friend--I've rarely seen a book with so much heart and soul put into it as yours is...a delight from start to finish!

We can't wait to start playing with some new recipes...you always inspire, my friend!

Oh--another thing--it was ALWAYS a not-so-secret desire of mine that my family owned a Dairy Queen. My Dad even mulled the thought over out loud from time to time...but, alas, I was not to be "the girl that owned a Dairy Queen"!

Hoping you're feeling better today--I know you'll be making the day a little more beautiful no matter what!

Julie

What a fantastic quote - and so, so true!!!
Have you been to Amsterdam before? I think it's a great place. It's only a 2 hour drive from us, so we've been a few times now. While you're there, I recommend a visit to Keukenhof Gardens (to see all the amazing tulip displays).

Love the quotes. Your posts always make me smile. Some days I have to peek at them more than once for that very reason. Enjoy Amsterdam. It is a charming city. Anne Frank's hideaway is astonishing and presents many thought provoking challenges to one's thinking for young and old. All of the Netherlands are so beautiful, like stepping into a story book Have a great trip.
