oh happy day

it's
 my friend friday feature day
{tee hee...........say that 10 times fast}
which means I get to introduce one of my sweet friends
to you and share a yummy recipe

meet the sweet Amy Powers
her darling ice cream clowns are defiantly
 smile makers
{featured in my book...........everything goes with ice cream}

you can also find Amy here
and her beautiful inspired ideas magazine here

sharing the recipe time
Makes 1 clown sundae

Your favorite ice cream, slightly softened for easy
scooping
colourful cupcake wrappers, flattened
 coloured chocolate wafer melts
gel food colouring, your choice
Ice cream cones
rainbow sprinkles
 starburst candy, for mouth
 maraschino cherries, for nose
chocolate chips/candy eyes {Wilton}
Whipped cream
1. Scoop 1 ball of ice cream into flattened cupcake wrapper. Return to the
freezer until ready to assemble.
2. Melt chocolate wafers melts in microwave {according to package
instructions} in shallow pan, such as a pie dish. {If you are not able to
find chocolate wafer melts in desired colour, purchase white chocolate
melts and add food colouring, 1 drop at a time.}
3. Working quickly, roll each ice cream cone in melted chocolate and
shower with rainbow sprinkles. Set aside until chocolate hardens.
4. Cut slice from 1 Starburst candy, and work into mouth shape {1 candy
makes 3 mouths}.
NOTE: If needed, warm candy in hands to make pliable.
5. Just before serving sundaes, remove from freezer and assemble: Place
maraschino cherry nose in middle of ice cream ball; add chocolate chips
or candy eyes, and mouth; top with sprinkle-coated hat; and add just a
little bit of whipped cream on each side for hair.
