I grew up
spending countless hours filling in the
numbered spaces with paint
until
every last white space was filled
and a painted picture magically
appeared
well my daughter discovered
the magic
and has been painting
up a storm
this time i will keep every last one
of her masterpieces
{she was so focused on her painting that she didn't even know i snapped this photo}

Thanks for your kind comments Koralee. This photo of your daughter is very special! Julie
Koralee, I'm right there with you! I too spent many hours with *paint by number*. I know it's made a come back but I haven't looked too closely at it yet. I will have to do that though. Boy, wouldn't it be great to have all of our creations from our childhoods?!

Love paint by numbers...and your daughters is coming out beautifully.
WOW, your daughter is an amazing artist, really..she did all of that herself? I am always in awe of those that can draw, my brother stole all of those abilities from me...! :) hope you had a great weekend and cherish these paintings forever!
I loved these as a kid! Sadly, I didn't keep any of them. How great that you will hang on to these for your daughter!!
Lovely post!!

She's really good!!! Even with paint-by-numbers, my pictures don't always look right...I think some people have the artist gene and some people don't.
Beautiful snapshot of her!
Yes, I remember! Thanks for reminding me about it. How lucky she is that she has you to save all of these.
Oh yes! I remember with great pleasure the many hours I spent painting by number! Those were such relaxing peaceful hours! Now your daughter is spending precious moments of enjoyment. (She's a beauty! And so is her artwork!)
A wonderful lifetime memory!! x
I used to love paint by numbers - although I was never very good at it. Your pictures turned out really well.
Some paint-by-number paintings are actually worth a lot of money now...they are a really great teaching tool for a beginner I reckon!:o)
