~ Knee High Fun ~

I found them today!
{all fuzzy and warm}
~Every year starting December 1st
it is our family tradition to hang socks
on our stair railing
one for each child~
~I fill them every morning with little treats
until December 25th~
~like an advent calendar
only 100xs better
because the treats are amazing
handpicked by me~

~this is definitely a
Christmas highlight in our home~

~when my girls came home today and saw the socks
they knew exactly what they
would be used for~
{the only requirement is that they have to be knee high socks}

~the fun part is they get to wear the socks after~

~advent calendar socks....
so much fun
~
{the store clerk told me they were going to get pink stripe ones in too... we will need some of those }

Hi Koralee,

What an absolutely lovely tradition.
So much better than an advent calendar and they have the socks to wear after.

I wish we have this tradition at home too! What are you going to put into those socks? I'm curious!!

By the way, you asked about my Christmas cards the other time. They are in stores now. I just did a post in my blog about them. Welcome to check it out. :)

Such a cute idea Koralee! We have an old wooden advent calendar house that we use with our daughter every year but I'm limited on the treats due to the size. Love this idea! Where did you find the cute socks?

My children are grown up, but they still believe in Father Christmas, as I do. He still brings us presents !!!! XXXX

What a unique and fun way to do an advent calendar!!! :> Not to mention, those socks are cute. I can so see padding around in them on a Saturday morning, or wearing them out and about with a cute pair of shoes and cuffed jeans. This is the first time I've heard of something like this and love how unique it is! :>

I love this idea...but with boys I'd have to use ugly holey white crew socks...that wouldn't look so cute, huh.
