{Somebody said......}

Somebody said a mother is an unskilled labourer....
somebody never gave a squirmy infant a bath

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal
after you've had a baby.....somebody doesn't know that once you're a mother,
normal is history

Somebody said "good" mothers never raise their voices....
somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her
child wind up and hit a golf ball through the neighbour's kitchen window

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child rearing
questions in the books....somebody never had a child stuff
beans up her nose

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you
don't need to tell her...somebody isn't a mother
{taken from ....If only I'd said that..volume 2....P. Legge}

I think you having pictures of my house, is so funny...It is really a crazy feeling when a stranger comes up to me in the store, and says "Hey,ya know that fleu de lis quilt, in the upstairs bedroom? Well can you get another for me"... It makes me smile. BUT enough about this...how did you score a church Pew???...you lucky girl...is it painted? I have a great story to go with mine...we should do a "pew" post...must clarify...not phew...pew :)

Koralee my precious friend, this is a magnificent post....how true your perspective is, and although I am not a mother, being a teacher has given me moments where I secretly step out of my teacher suit and a twing of motherly compassion hits my heart. Keeping all "profession" composition and trying to hold back tears, sometimes my instincts just call me to forgive a faux pas made by a child only because this is what children do...make mistakes and sometimes bad choices. I am so grateful for all the mothers, in all cultures and in all walks of life for their care and patience. I wish YOU, dear sweet bluebird, the most happiest of celebrations. AND YEAH...we have 5 weeks left of school!!!!! BRAVO AND YIPEE!!! Bisous, Anita
