I wear the "messy" bun, but I am not in the tenth grade, perhaps that's a little sad hahaha, I think I get away with it though because my hair is SUPER LONG and I'm a bit busy with the three babes lol. Xoxoxo
I love the messy bun look. I don't seem to get them right though... :/ My youngest daughter seems to have a talent for it, just like yours!! Very pretty!
I love messy buns, so I'm with your daughter on this. 10th grade or not, messy buns rocks my world (and they have for a long time - maybe the style just came back?)
If that's your daughter, tell her she has amazing hair, wow!
Hi Koralee! Look at those beautiful locks! Sydney's hair looks lovely no matter what she does! I'm always torn whether to go longer or short again... A "messy bun" is so easy ~ and fun ~ and can only be done with longer hair! Love your post... I came over thinking you were making more cinnamon buns ;o) Enjoy your day tomorrow, Koralee and thank you for always making my day sweet ♥ xoxo Maria
Messy buns in all their various incarnations are very much in vogue here down the lane too! This is often a source of frustration as despite my efforts at styling a chic smooth grown-up-do I invariably find I have a messy bun! Tee-Hee!
...sweet messy buns...but not with my crazy hair!.Because my hair decides how to be day by day...curly,frizzy...half curly !!!. Dear friend, could you tell how to apply my name or my e-mail in my photos, like you do in yours?.Thanks!!!.
I love messy buns and wear them myself quite often, I have curly hair that turns out differently every day. And when i don't know, what to do with it, i pike it up, that always kind of works!
GOOD MORNING PRECIOUS!!! Oh dearest, thank you for your uplifting words yesterday morning! I had such a marvelous day with my little writers. They wrote a small essay, "My Greatest Wish." I have some burgeoning essayists! One little girl who is an exceptional writer said she would "love to be a writer when she grows up and she would write about her fourth grade because it is in Madame Rivera's class where she has learned the most about her potential as a writer!" Now that makes a teacher's day, don't ya think? :) :) AND....these buns...the fake ones are BIG right now with a couple of our third grade teachers! They actually look pretty great and I am letting my hair grown long! But by the time my hair gets long enough to pull up in the slightest poney tail, these fake hair pieces will be out of style! I bet you look fabulous with the MESSY BUN!
Wish my oldest little one loved this look, she absolutely doesn't like messy hair. It has to be tight, tight and tightest. I adore the nonchalant look, always accompanied by a touch of lipstick though. Enjoy a lovely Thursday, sweet friend xxxx
I remember going to sleep-away summer camp when I was young and the counselors wore their hair in messy buns and ever since then i was hooked!! I though they were just sooooo cool! I've been rocking the messy bun ever since. My hair is a little short for one right now so I wear messy pigtails and a cap lately!! Have a great rest of the week. It's almost the weekend!!! :) :) :) We have so much snow here that my boss just called and gave me the morning off!! :) :) That's ONE thing I like about snow. :)
what a cute picture of your girl's messy bun! i have a 10th grader too and she wears messy buns all the time. i think they are cute and she has tried to teach me how to do it several times, but i just can't seem to get the hang of it. sometimes she says, "mom, does this look okay?" (how does a messy bun NOT look okay? it's messy!) :)
Hey Koralee...I like all buns of many different persuasions. Thanks for your visit...I know you are super busy and popular so for you to come over to my humble lil blog is a boost.
Hi Koralee, That is so cute and I can say I haven't heard of those yet. But now, if my girls come to me and tell me about them, I can say I already know. (hee hee hee) Thanks for the pretty update. Hugs, Amy (Mom to the Four Sisters)
MY GRANDDAUGHTER JENNA IS IN 10TH GRADE, HER HAIR IS NOT TOO LONG BUT SOME HOW SHE WEARS IT IN A MESSY BUN STYLE. I REMEMBER I WOULD SAY TO HER AREN'T YOU GOING TO COMB YOUR HAIR..DUH...SO OLD FASHION I MUST GET WITH IT. RIZZI
Ah, to be a teen again. One can only dream. Just looked at that heart cake. I'm thinking that's really not going to happen here. Harder than it looks. But, the pictures are great...he-he... Let me know how your's goes.
I guess that's how my daughter will want to wear her hair for the 8th grade dance:) No one would ever know I had a messy bun because of my curly hair. Thanks for all your supportive words on my blog. xxx susan
I never seem to know the styles anymore. I think once your kids leave the house, you kind of lose the thread of what's popular. I like messy buns though. I think they look very appealing! Brenda
Adorable bun, Koralee! I showed it to my 14-year-old and she loved, too. She and her friends have been wearing their hair like that for a while and I've always thought it looked so fun and carefree.
Lovely style - I do wish I had long hair somtimes! Also so chuffed to see you have won a prize over on Sharon's Passport to Style blog Koralee! What a gorgeous photo :-) Love Kitty xxx

I must be a little in fashion as well then. I've got one today but not sure it's stylish messy or just messy :)
You don't have to be in the 10th grade, Koralee ... the ladies are doing it everywhere. Your daughter has a gorgeous set of hairs there. ..
We are in the middle of a fabulous blizzard ... yippee!
Have a great eve ~

I have never been able to do my hair up, messy or otherwise. Looks very pretty.

Oh, yes, messy buns!! Messy buns rule at our house. And I can't for the life of me figure out how to do one!! Sadly out of style here in SC.

I want a messy bun, but I need a tutorial or something...I can't get it to work. Your daughter's looks perfect :)

I used to wear the messy bun but my hair is down to my waist now and it looks really bad when I try to do it now.
I'd say a messy bun will work at any age!
Hugs,

Isn't that funny. I have a younger daughter that likes to do the very same thing.

I just have messy hair (untameable curls) so I like to tell myself messy hair is the in thing whether it is or isn't.
:)

I love messy hair..and that is a pretty picture of her hair...it looks great
Cute picture of "messy buns". My hair is too short for that style, but I still don't mind a bit of messy on the side.
In my younger years I was the queen of the messy bun. I could do that up in my sleep. I miss it. :)
Adorable bun, Koralee! I showed it to my 14-year-old and she loved, too. She and her friends have been wearing their hair like that for a while and I've always thought it looked so fun and carefree.
Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs....
