It's my favorite too!
I dream of a garden with only Hydrangeas, roses, lavender and a big appletree in the back.
A pool with blue water and a bit of gras to play on fot the kids.

I'll keep dreaming...

I have a dream garden & this year it went to dirt heaven ... ugh! So love hydrangeas ... a gal the other day posted a lime green one I don't have, but will soon. It was AWESOME! Did you happen to see it?

I think a sweet blue would be the perfect paint color.
If it were mine, tho, it'd be pink to match the house shutters & everything else.
Have a great day ~

OH DEAREST..GET THE BLUE ONES for your front porch! THEN GET ALL THE OTHER COLORS for the rest of the garden but YOU NEED THE BLUE ONES! They make me happy too, EVEN IN THE DEAD OF WINTER 'cause you can use them on your Christmas tree or other organic arrangments!

OH HAPPY DANCE, INDEED!

Have fun, watch the back...Anita

my two favorite hydrangeas (for there ease and performance) are white "annabelles" and "limelight" which bloom in the heat of summer (even 100 degrees, like today)...if you like blue, i would try "endless summer". have fun!

Hydrangeas are good mood flowers to me! I love them too, because they say"Happieness!" in the language of flowers. I'd love to have more time for my garden so i could mould it into my dream place. But even how it is, half wild, i really appreciate to have it.

Hugs and lots of love....from me...xxx...

I dream of an enclosed courtyard absolutely filled with colorful flowers, a pond, shade trees, and flagstone walkways throughout with little benches in hidden areas. There would be birds galore singing their little hearts out. How about bunnies that don't eat the flowers (hey - this is a dream!) hopping around freely. Oh, and in my garden the temperatures NEVER get into the 100's!

Helen Philipps said...

I adore hydrangeas too - we have several colours in our garden that were all here when we moved in. They look so pretty and have such a generous amount of flowers that you can use for so many different arrangements! All the hydrangea colours are beautiful, I think!

beautiful pic, miss koralee. i've blue hydrangeas by my porch, but they've turned pink. i think if i give them a soak with 'aluminum sulfate' they'll turn blue once again (base vs. acidic fertilizer).

i mailed your prize today, my friend. we've had a houseful of family for the past two weeks. cousins everywhere.

happy day, sweets.

I have a blue ‘Endless Summer’ Hydrangea and a Bluebird Hydrangea too. Oh, and a white one! The bluebird blossoms are not round like other hydrangeas, but pretty just the same. I have a gift certificate to a local nursery and I am planning on getting a pink hydrangea next! Surprised? heehee Looking forward to seeing what you decided!
Blessings!

Oh, Koralee, how I love hydrangeas....any color really. I do have a dream of something like an English garden in my tiny backyard. I don't know if I have enough energy to go around to do my crochet work along with the business side though. It may remain a dream and that will be ok.

Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie Suzanne ♥

I just moved into my new home with my new hubby so gardening did not get attended to this year. By next spring, I hope to have the inside of the house in shape enough to start fiddling with the yard. A pair of hydrangeas for the front of the house are at the top of my list, though ;-)

I think I do have a dream garden already, this is because I love my garden and the forest around my house, I love them and so they look perfect to me :-).

I love, love, love hydrangeas!! And a porch swing would be lovely! I have what I call a "secret garden". It's small, tucked in the back and not looking so lovely right now from all the hot weather.

Draffin Bears said...

Hi Koralee,

Hydrangeas are so beautiful and you can actually change your colours with what you add to the soil.
Adding lime to your soil can change the hydrangea from blue to pink, If you have a pink one and would like to make it blue or purple, you can add aluminum sulfate.
Love the sweet photo.

Happy day

Carolyn

Thanks for reminding me, I do love hydrangeas and I must ask my husband where the best place is in our garden to plant some.

We had a horrible, horrible winter, here in the Pacific Northwest and my hydrangeas are suffering. Two huge ones have NO blooms and some of the others are pretty darn puny.........I'm so happy yours are growing well.. :-)

Oh hello, sweet friend! So nice to come by for a visit once more...I've missed you, too!
So happy to be calming down now...happy to be HOME.

Hydrangeas are one of my favorite plants...next to English roses, lavender, lilacs...! Blue are my favorite, but I love pink & purple, too! How lovely to have them surrounding your porch--sounds dreamy!

Hope your day was lovely, dear friend...I'll stop by again soon!

Thanks for your visit, dear friend.

I love the blue variety of hydrangeas also, such a gorgeous colour. What joy to have a porch swing! hope you can tick it off your list soon.
It is winter here, but we have been very lucky as it has been mild where I live. Down the South Island they have had a lot of snow, which they are very happy about as the Ski Resorts have not been able to open, until recently because of the lack of snow.

Happy day

I do love hydrangeas. Had a lovely purpley one outside my backdoor in Georgia. Of course now, a lush and beautiful garden of green and blooms is only in my dreams as nothing can survive here at the moment. :/ At 10:20 am it is 109 degrees out there.

Any color hydrangea you buy will be beautiful ... especially with those turquoise shoes. :) Happy day to you! Tammy

I have a hydrangea bush that gives me purple flowers.. but hubby "pruned" it down at the BEGINNING of Summer.. not sure I'll get even one bloom this year. But I DO have a porch swing.. thinking I might need to paint it as the wood looks a bit shabby.
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

So pretty. They are my favorite, too, Koralee. We have trouble growing them here in Minnesota and we can only seem to grow one that is pink. I still like them! Any color, as you say!!! I love seeing them out on the west coast. They are so incredible...really magical.
Big hugs,

dear dream garden,

I can only see you when I visit pretty blogs like this one. Happy flowers and green leaves - when I try to keep happy plants they don't tend to stay happy for long.... I have one survivor so far this summer - Lupe the Loquat tree. So I'll just keep dreaming and visiting your beautiful garden!! :)

I love seeing bright shoes peeking out behind gorgeous flowers! I know I took a long break from blog world, but just wanted to stop by and say HI!

hope you have a lovely weekend!!
