"spring chicken"
{my response....???worry}

which got me wondering about
at what age
are you no longer
classified as a
"spring chicken"?
{my response... unhappy}

Women are most fascinating
between the ages of 35 and 40
after they have won a few races
and
know how to pace themselves.
Since few women ever pass
40
maximum fascination can
continue indefinitely
{Christian Dior}

conclusion
it's not about a number
but
about how you feel
and yes.....
I still feel like a spring chicken!

Christian Dior was not only a stylish person but also sounds very wise. Love the qoute. Age is all relative and your 40s are the best you know who you are and you still have energy. As I always say,"Enjoy the Process" Happy Spring to you!! Kathysue

Look at that cutie covered with sweet soft lace... Lovely picture! Off course it's all about how we feel, age is just a number. I'm thinking about the ages of my friends, right now, still thinking... a few are 45+ and a few are 35-. I'm sure it's all about being on the same level, sharing the same thoughts.
Have the most wonderful Springtime ever, sweetest Koralee. xoxoxo

Another sweet post. I don't know if I am a spring chicken, today doesn't feel like spring with the snow. But I appreciate the definition!! :-)

Hello Koralee... oooh, I wish women would not put so much emphasis on their age in the number of years they are, but rather how they feel in their heart... I am sixty years young, and not ashamed to say so, and life is good! I think one must be young at heart and I remember to think that every single day... so sad how anyone over the age of 30 nowadays is considered "old"... I just posted about two adorable vintage gentlemen in their 80's I met who are still riding their Harleys!... I also love the old Clairol ad "You're not getting older, you're getting better!"... Happy Spring to you! xoxo Julie Marie

Hi, Koralee,
Enjoyed your post and couldn't help but smile when you asked hubby your question. I have learned to enjoy each stage of my life. I think the real answer to feeling young is to enjoy each day to the fullest in this journey of life. I hope you have a beautiful weekend, my friend! Vicki

Fun post, Koralee! We're all spring chickens, honey!

I actually feel better about myself over 40 (8 years over 40!) than I have felt as an adult--so I'm okay with it!

Have a wonderful weekend--thanks for the giggles!

My mother always said "you're only as old as you think you are". When people used to ask how old she was she would always respond "can you keep a secret?". No one can ever admit to not being able to keep a secret so they would always say "yes". To their yes she would respond, "so can I". This would always make me laugh. I'm getting to an age now where this is a good answer. After all, I grew up with the Beatles, The Beach Boys and the Rolling Stones, I can't possibly be thought of as old, right?

{Spring Chicken} can happen to a person any day ~ any time! YES! It's all a state of mind ♥ and of course anyone can call a younger person a "spring chicken' ~ no maximum age limit ;o)

I love these quotes about age:
"Forty is the old age of youth; fifty the youth of old age." ~Victor Hugo

"I'm not 40, I'm eighteen with 22 years experience."

and most importantly~
"Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:4
God loves a childlike spirit * You are so loved, dear ♥

You are an Angel today Koralee!
I SO needed these words.... as time goes by you begin to questions things that you never did before, then sometimes the truth leads to more questions. But all we have is ourselves and we must embrace age and know that the beauty within radiates like dew drops and out shines every little spring chick:)

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

XOXOX

Oh, sweetie...
Sometimes , men just don´t think like we would want them too ;).
You are one of the most beautiful "spring chicken" I have seen (not saying that just to make you feel good, it´s true).
So don´t you worry, I have seen many women depressed over turning older, but we only become more beautiful. Don´t you think?

Wish you a great end of this weekend.
The spring is comming this way too =).

My first day of spring ended today in the pool with a Klondike ice cream bar.... I know... boo-hoo...

Off to see what I've missed while entertaining the MIL. Can't wait to get caught up with all.

Sunny and 75, perfect afternoon at the pool.

...Oh Korlee,you are so crazy wonderful. Had a few minutes between customers today to "peek" at your musings... and that's when it started. With a tiny smile... progressing to a snicker ...building to a giggle...concluding with hysterical laughter,at which time I was forced to pull my self together as a heard of frenzied ladies arrived through my door with shopping on their mind. I have to say, that since I have discovered your delightful site...I feel the need for a "Blue Bird" fix each morning...

thank~you...Rosie
