~patriotic berries~

to celebrate all my sweet faithful
American friends
I decided I needed  to spruce up my
berries with a little
red, white & blue
for this
4th of July

~first a white chocolate bath~

~a dip into the blue non-pareils pool~

~a little bit of sunbathing to dry off~

Happy Independence Day
sweet friends
love from your Canadian neighbour
I will eat a strawberry or two in your honour

I bow to you sweet KoraLee. This is just the perfect treat for me today. It's pretty friggin' hot down here in the States today. Hope you had a wonderful celebration too. I had not a clue the day's were so close. It's always fun to learn something new. Those sprinkles are just so preciously blue and cute.

How sweet (so to speak)! I wonder if you can find blue "pop rocks" so that they would be like fireworks going off in your mouth! The kids would love that!

Koralee, those are the perfect treat for the 4th of July, if I do say so myself! I made them for my daughter, Jade's party and she was delighted! They taste as wonderful as they look! I used blue powdered sugar, but blue nonpareils look even happier! I took a picture but forgot the memory card and now I can't find the right connection to download straight from the camera to my computer! Boo! They looked quite festive on my white star plate too! Oh well! Thank you for your sweet wishes, dear Canadian friend! Did you see the red hat with maple leaves that Princess Catherine wore while visiting in Canada? It was FAB!
Blessings!

Hope your celebration was great as well. I run to you always for ideas and I really like this one. I think I could probably pull that off; it does't seem too difficult. My friends would love it. Thanks for taking a bite out of a berry for me. Debi
