I think my Mother use to make paska bread, when I was a child, with icing sugar on top and sprinkles..if I recall correctly. I haven't tried it myself though, so wouldn't be able to say how easy it is to make or not.

Koralee I have never made that bread. The greeks, we make a bread called Tsourekia. Its delish. Its kind of on the sweet side.Ive made that. But its popular when we are closer to Easter. Its April 15th this year here in the USA.
I wish you a Kalo Pascha,Happy Easter my friend.
I can't even believe that Easter is as close as it is and I have not so much as given it a thought until this post. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? Oh my goodness!!! I adore Easter and don't even have one little tiny sign of the cute, springtime, pastel, egg filled, grass adorned, bunny laden decor any where in sight!!! For heaven's sake ... today might have to be the day! Your cute little pink chickletts have inspired me to get a move on!
Can't wait to see more pantry joy, but sadly, I have no tips for Paska bread - I am not that adventurous in the kitchen. Good luck! xoxox
hiya!
I came over to say hi, and thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog this afternoon.
Your prettied-up pantry is a delight- an absolute feast of girliness.
I came to BC back in the 70s when I was a teenager. I had a job as a nanny to a single parent father and two little boys who lived in Toronto, and we drove to BC to shut-up a holiday home he had there...boy what a long trip that was, but what a way to see the magnificent scenery.
I still remember the feeling of being so awestruck by the sheer size of all that countryside after lil' ol' England!.
Hope to catch up again

I see you got an answer on your Pashka from sweet Paula, it is new to me so I am looking forward to seeing what it is all about. It will be fun to see what is coming out of your pantry! xo
Hello,
Super cute pinkies!
Gabriela
I don't make Paska bread. Do share if you do.
I do love Easter bunnies and chicks. I have some yellow chicks like your pink ones, I think I must run a find a jar. I am doing a tea party for Easter and a little 3 year old guest is allergic to almost everything, so I bought the chicks for her. I will hide them in plastic eggs for her to find.
I'll look at all the spring pretties you want to put here.
Not a whole lot of spring here yet.
I have my eye on the pussy willows on our land, so I can cut a bunch when they are ready.
Hello my sweet Koralee, I love your darling fluffy pink chicks and the pretty fabric! I love pink! How sweet the chicks look in your jar. I look forward to seeing your springtime sweetcakes and more of your pantry joys! Your photos are beautiful and you have such a sweet heart! It is always a delight to visit you and it always puts a smile on my face! Have a blessed week! Much love, Paula xoxo... I have not made Paska bread. If you make it please share a photo.
GOOD EVENING PINK LADY!
Ahhhh....I am winding down, as I believe you are winding back UP to go back. But two weeks for you dear heart, what a TREAT! How is the book coming? When do you expect it to get done and published????
THANK YOU for cheering up my blog comment page dear friend. PASKA BREAD....I have never made it but anything EGGY is always good! I make a great BRIOCHE, a French egg bread that is F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.!
LOVE, Anita
Love your pink chicks! I have mine out and about. I've never made Paska bread. Let us know if you do!
I love those little Chicks!
Daisy~
These are adorable, dear Koralee! So pretty. Are you of eastern European descent?
Are you thinking of Pashka (which is a cream cheese spread), or Kulich? Kulich is the yeasty bread rising high...we get a yummy one from the Russian store. They glaze the top, and pour colorful sprinkles on top :)
Here is a link for Kulich, just in case: http://easteuropeanfood.about.com/od/russianbreads/r/Russianeaster.htm
Let us know if you make it!
The Pashka is here:

Sending love your way,
