Those pink Easter chicks are just the sweetest!
I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the Easter items :)
I think my Mother use to make paska bread, when I was a child, with icing sugar on top and sprinkles..if I recall correctly. I haven't tried it myself though, so wouldn't be able to say how easy it is to make or not.

Cute pictures! We make Easter bread every year and Pashka spread, which is made of ricotta cheese, butter, eggs, milk, sugar, golden raisins, and almonds. It is absolutely spectacular! I will be posting a recipe on my blog on Holy Saturday, so stay tuned!

I can't even believe that Easter is as close as it is and I have not so much as given it a thought until this post. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? Oh my goodness!!! I adore Easter and don't even have one little tiny sign of the cute, springtime, pastel, egg filled, grass adorned, bunny laden decor any where in sight!!! For heaven's sake ... today might have to be the day! Your cute little pink chickletts have inspired me to get a move on!

Can't wait to see more pantry joy, but sadly, I have no tips for Paska bread - I am not that adventurous in the kitchen. Good luck! xoxox

hiya!
I came over to say hi, and thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog this afternoon.

Your prettied-up pantry is a delight- an absolute feast of girliness.

I came to BC back in the 70s when I was a teenager. I had a job as a nanny to a single parent father and two little boys who lived in Toronto, and we drove to BC to shut-up a holiday home he had there...boy what a long trip that was, but what a way to see the magnificent scenery.
I still remember the feeling of being so awestruck by the sheer size of all that countryside after lil' ol' England!.

Hope to catch up again

I don't make Paska bread. Do share if you do.

I do love Easter bunnies and chicks. I have some yellow chicks like your pink ones, I think I must run a find a jar. I am doing a tea party for Easter and a little 3 year old guest is allergic to almost everything, so I bought the chicks for her. I will hide them in plastic eggs for her to find.

I'll look at all the spring pretties you want to put here.
Not a whole lot of spring here yet.
I have my eye on the pussy willows on our land, so I can cut a bunch when they are ready.

GOOD EVENING PINK LADY!

Ahhhh....I am winding down, as I believe you are winding back UP to go back. But two weeks for you dear heart, what a TREAT! How is the book coming? When do you expect it to get done and published????

THANK YOU for cheering up my blog comment page dear friend. PASKA BREAD....I have never made it but anything EGGY is always good! I make a great BRIOCHE, a French egg bread that is F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.!

These are adorable, dear Koralee! So pretty. Are you of eastern European descent?
Are you thinking of Pashka (which is a cream cheese spread), or Kulich? Kulich is the yeasty bread rising high...we get a yummy one from the Russian store. They glaze the top, and pour colorful sprinkles on top :)
Here is a link for Kulich, just in case: http://easteuropeanfood.about.com/od/russianbreads/r/Russianeaster.htm
Let us know if you make it!
The Pashka is here:

Sending love your way,
