Oh my precious friend,

I WILL MISS YOU! I LOVE SAN FRANCISCO and yet I have only been THROUGH IT twice. I know of nothing there, but I do know you will get plenty of good recommendations because there is a plethora of wonderful shops. When I went through two summers ago, my sister in law gave me the choice to go to Bell'achio in S.F. or to keep moving north to Berkeley to the TAIL OF THE YAK. Since she lives further north, we decided to head to the Tail of the Yak which is a magical place. LOVE TO YOU MY PRECIOUS FRIEND! Anita

Oh how I LOVE San Francisco!! My favorite shop in the world is there Bell'occhio's (www.bellocchio.com). Go visit if you get a chance and of course eat clam chowder out of a sour dough bread bowl in Fisherman's Wharf...I'm SO jealous!!

You HAVE to ride in one of the famous San Fran cable cars. Alcatraz is very very interesting and makes you appreciate the beautiful life you live. If you go make sure you do the audio tour...it brings it to life (it was my favorite thing we did there). And of course the beautiful Golden Gate bridge...the beach near by is nice, but the one closest to the bridge gets interesting and if you are with children you will want to stay on the family side. And then of course simply walking the city is divine. And of course you must see Lombard Street...that steep incredible street...next time I go I want to walk the street rather than drive it. As far as food and shopping...Fisherman's Wharf will keep you busy, but the best food are those little family owned restaurants. We ate at the most amazing Italian food place near downtown, but all I can remember is that we walked quite a ways from the financial district and it was a small and very quaint place. The locals recommended it...if they like it, you know it's good.

Have fun Koralee!

Hi Koralee,
Your home looks beautiful and really reflects you .... and, your photographs are always so clever. You really have such a wonderful talent.
I have only been to San Fransisco once and loved every inch of it. I will let the residents of the city tell you the best places to go as they will know far more than me. Have a wonderful time. XXXX

Your April home is lovely, dear Koralee...just as I would expect it to be!

How wonderful that you're heading to San Francisco! Just an hour away from us & one of our favorite places to play!

Fisherman's Wharf, Nob Hill, you MUST walk across the Golden Gate Bridge!...half an hour out of town is the magical Muir Woods (I posted about it a couple of posts ago), "The Stinking Rose" restaurant (if you like Italian and garlic!), The Exploratorium museum--wonderful!

I could go on & on...just so fun--and eye-opening!--to walk around there!

Hope you have a wonderful time! If you have any "free" time...let me know!

Wishing you a beautiful Sunday, dear friend...

Julie

Knock Knock!!! Anyone home in this sweet and beautiful place?

Hello there Koralee my dear! Thank you for stopping by today! Have you decided where to go in S.F.? You are going to have a BLAST! I so wanted to go to CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA this summer, but launching off my new life is more imperative! Having a lovely spring? I am, but it is a bit chilly. I cannot wait to get out there in the warmer temps and clean out my gardens!

Wishing you a good Monday my dearest! Anita

I've spent quite a bit of time in San Francisco.. I stayed at the St. Francis Hotel, it's amazing with a view of Union Square. Sears Fine Food is a fun place for breakfast. If you go to a nice Chinese Restaurant in China Town - be SURE and order "Prawns with Honey Walnuts". You won't be sorry. A boat tour of the bay will go around Alcatraz for photo ops.. AND take you under the Golden Gate Bridge for great photos. Be sure and have sourdough bread.. and get some candy at Ghiradelli Square. Fun fun fun! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
