What Steals your Heart?

the one and only.....

way... way.... way in the back of my closet i came across my Dr. Scholl's sandals

{i totally forgot i had them...i bought them years ago}

I have fallen in love with them all over again...

i love everything about them....the color..the wooden base...the sweet little buckle...the fact that they could even be considered vintage {i think i had a pair in high school }

and guess what???.. they are even comfy...

i went to Dr. Scholl's and found these....i think i want a pair in every fun color!

....so if you have a pair hanging around your home

why not join me in wearing them this spring and summer!

back in time.....

this is an original art/photo that i have hanging in our bedroom

it's of my great grandma...Maria...who died shortly after it was taken...

i look at her face every morning and evening and find such peace and comfort in it...

when i was younger this exact photo hung in my grandma's bedroom...

i thought it was of an angel ....i still do...

i can see my mom's face in hers....my mom's name is Marie....

my grandma's middle name....my middle name and my middle daughter's middle name are all Marie...

this is where i find my inspiration today...in my great grandma...

i was looking through Cabbages and Roses shop...

these romantic fashions remind me of my great grandma's era

{maybe not exactly the right period but somewhat of the day's gone by}

i love them all....

they match nicely with Cabbages and Roses home selection....

a paper shoe needed to be created for a school project...

i think it turned out quite lovely...

pretty heads for fashion friday....

a little bit of prettiness for the hair today...

lately i have been obsessed with hairbands...

i have SO tried to wear them ....

but after an hour or so i get this terrible headache and need to rip them off.....

until yesterday...

i found this very cute one made out of wood....

so thought i would give it a try....

after one hour..i still had a happy head!!!....i was able to wear it all day long...

so now i am on the hunt for some more...

went to etsy and found these sweet ones ....

Is your home plagued by the sock burglar?

this is what my sad little life has come to be.....

the girls and myself are heading out the door each morning with mismatched socks...

for once my husband is not involved in this craziness {or maybe he is??}...

..his socks are all nicely matched and lined up like little tin solders in his drawer...

but then again he doesn't have to worry about patterns and colors to match....

...his sock are an exciting shade of black or white.....

so this leads me to believe either...

he is behind this and is stashing our girlie sock somewhere to drive me totally insane .....

OR

the rest of us are girl slobs and leave our socks all over the place and they are lost forever

{ at least until i clean under beds..or find them stuck in the sides of the clean fitted sheets..etc.}

OR

there really is a sock burglar .....

SO

i pick the last one

SOCK BURGLAR!!!!!

{ because who wants to be called a slob?

and my husband really has no extra time on his hands to think up such a scheme}

...this is my missing sock box...it started with one or two sad socks that had lost their mates....

now it is overflowing and growing like a bad weed in chicken fertilizer....

SO tomorrow....

i am off to buy new socks for us girls {it's easier than cleaning!!!}....

and i am changing the locks on my doors....

BEWARE.... mr. sock burglar could be on his way to your home!
