They look delicious! The only macaroons I have ever had was from my favorite Paris shop/cafe owned by a couple who lived in Paris and visited several times a year. I tried several flavors and didn't like one! I wanted to like them so badly. hmph. But maybe homemade would be different.

I follow Anita too...and have been enjoying her "tours" and visits through Paris. Someplace I will probably NEVER actually get to.
NOR have I ever ate a macaroon.
With my fabulous trip to Montreal last summer (to see a blogging friend)...we didn't get a chance to get some Macaroons.
I LOVED OLD Montreal.....probably as close to Paris experience that I will get.

Koralee,

Beautiful French macarons!
I'm curious as to what you used for the creamy middle of your strawberry macarons.
I made strawberry/basil macarons several months back and used strawberry jam for the middle. I'd like to make them again but want to perfect the filling. Any suggestions?

Loving your photo here so much that I want to ask you dear one, may I have permission to use it in a collage I want to make for a memoire of this unforgettable party? Let me know if I may use it.

You only have about a week left of school right? I remember you saying you had just a little ways to go after me. Let me tell you, it is BLISS!!!!!!! BISOUS MON AMIE! Anita

G'day Koralee.
I have to confess that I have NO IDEA WHAT a Macaron TASTES like. In fact I do not think I have ever even SEEN a macaron for real.
BUT!...your very yummy Paris post has me utterly intrigued! Perhaps one day I will be able to savour one (or two) of these darling little 'creations'. (not too sure if they are a biscuit or a cake)
Your pictures are b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!
